As a DIY enthusiast who values reliable tools, the Foval Automatic Trickle Battery Charger has been a fantastic addition to my workshop. This charger has been a game-changer for keeping my 12V batteries in top condition. One thing I truly appreciate about this charger is its simplicity and effectiveness. It's incredibly easy to use, just plug it in and connect it to the battery, and it takes care of the rest. The automatic feature is a real lifesaver, ensuring the battery is charged to the right level without any risk of overcharging. This has given me great peace of mind, especially when leaving it connected for extended periods. The charger's compact size is another bonus. It doesn’t take up much space, making it perfect for my crowded workbench. Plus, the LED indicators are clear and helpful, letting me know the charging status at a glance.I’ve used it on various 12V batteries, from my car to my lawnmower, and it performs consistently well. It's great not having to worry about battery maintenance as much anymore. The trickle charge keeps them in good shape, ready to go whenever I need them. The only minor downside I've noticed is the length of the cables, which could be a bit longer for more flexibility in positioning. However, this is a small issue compared to the many benefits this charger offers. In summary, the Foval Automatic Trickle Battery Charger is a must-have for anyone looking to maintain their 12V batteries effortlessly. Its reliability, ease of use, and compact design make it an excellent choice for both casual and serious DIYers. It's a small investment that pays off big in terms of convenience and battery longevity.

Works great. Easy installation. I used it in a 2001 Suzuki DRZ400. The cable is long as can be seen in my pictures which allows you to keep the base by a wall and have room to reach over the seat to the battery. I have the attachment come out below and on the side of the seat for easy access It keeps the battery fully charged. I live in a cold location in the winter and it does a great job.

This is inexpensive charger that works OK and it will trickle charge your battery and also will serve as a normal charger. The charger does work OK and I would recommend it if you are looking for one. I found few cons with it. First is the printed manual. The manual is written on a card 1x1 inch and in the 1 point font. I could not read it even with glasses and had to resort to magnifying glass. Second con are the clamps. The are kind of wimpy and don't hold well. You need to pay attention how you clamp the leads and also pull them a little after you clamp to make sure they do not come off.The charger I got was returned, because the wires were not factory wrapped. Someone clearly wrapped them by hand. Except for the motorcycle wire, that was OK. I am not taking off stars for that since the charger worked fine.I charged both batteries in my cars and it worked OK. It took couple of days to charge brand new battery but it did work. This is expected since it is only 1A charger.Another con is the writing on the charger, like 5 year old wrote it - twinkle? What does twinkle mean? Couldn't they use "blinking"? The yellow light is very dim and kind of greenish yellow. Red light you can see from far away, but yellow is so dim that you need to look directly into the charger to see it.The charger is microprocessor controlled and it does not put out any voltage when not connected to a battery. At first I thought I got defective charger, after putting multimeter on it. But after connecting charger to a battery, I could see voltage go up.My unit does not put out current to specifications. The manual specifies 1A+/- 0.4A. My charger puts out 0.94A which is outside its spec. The charger is very light and wires are not super long. You most likely will need extension cord to power it, unless you have an outlet right in front of the car.Other than that charger is OK. Does its job without any issues and certainly not expensive. I would definitely go with it over battery tender which is much more expensive just because of the name.
