I bought this product for a friend, who has not used it yet. It is very nice because it has a red indicator on the top and it is reasonably long - 7 inches. The tester is strong enough to insert into a cake.

I wasn't sure I wanted ones that say Cake Tester on them, but once I had it in my kitchen I realized this was a very good thing. My room-mate knows what it is instantly and when I forget I bought it in 6 months, I will too.

The cake tester is just okay, nothing special and not worth the $4.35 I paid for it. If it was for FOUR testers - as both the picture and the ad imply - then the price would be a great bargain. It's a very misleading ad (something echoed by other reviewers as well) and very overpriced for one cake tester that I've seen in other stores for $2.00. It's a decent product for what it is, just don't assume that the price you pay will give you four of them.
