All the pieces arrive in a plastic box, which honestly baffles me. Why do I need a place to store things when the whole point is to use those things? It comes with directions, which is good until you read them. Step 1 says, "Installing the protector rubber to the tip of the plate hanger." -- except the little protector tubes are already on all the tips (although some had worked halfway loose). Step 2 says, "Use the plate hanger to hold a decorative plate." That's a major gloss right over some important information. What you get are M-pieces and springs. There are 4 small Ms, 8 big Ms, 8 small springs, and 4 big springs. The manufacturer printed a double-sided set of instructions, postcard-sized -- but couldn't be bothered to add a simple diagram of which Ms go with which springs. That's just rude.I believe the final tally goes like this. A pair of small M/small spring/small M combinations. A pair of big M/small spring/big M combinations. A pair of big M/big spring/big M combinations. Great, but the point of instructions is so I don't have to use a decoder ring to figure out the product -- whether using it or putting it together. Is the price fair? I think the more pertinent question is whether what you get is worth the effort and annoyance of making what you get actually ready to be used. I'm not convinced these are.———————————————————————————————stars are based on: does it do (and is it) what the listing says/promises?5★ = exceeds | 4★ = satisfies | 3★ = minor issues | 2★ = major issues | 1★ = FAIL

My local hardware store charges $6 or so for a single plate hanger, so this is a bargain. The pieces arrive unassembled, so you will need to do some experimentation to find the combination of M's and springs that work for your plate/s.The "No-Trace wall hooks, allowing for quick and easy installation without damaging your walls" are installed by pounding four nails into your wall, in a tight cluster. You do the math regarding traces and damage there. They do hold well in drywall. The place in the M-shaped piece that is meant to attach to the wall hook may need to be bent outward, depending on the shape of your plate. Bending small pieces of stiff, thick wire is not comfortable for all hands. I also ended up bending some of the M-arms outward, to get a wider grip on the plate. The hanging hook can be seen if the plate is hung below the line of sight. (Second picture.)
