This thing kept 4" men menhaden alive for a few hours. Has plenty of room. As for the durability of it, it's been rolling around in the bed of my truck for 2 weeks after using it memorial day weekend. Still hasn't busted like the other reviews show. Honestly, it looks like in the other reviews that one person threw the bait bucket off the bridge and shattered the bottom (I've admittedly done this before on accident and did the same). Another review showed where where the upper and lower pieces had separated. I believe that it could be a factory issue but it most likely was from dropping the bait bucket off a pier or something and the rope wasn't long enough (done this too as a kid, long drop and sudden stop will rip the bottom right out). These are under $20 for a reason. You'll, at best get 3 years out of one before it dry rots, even less time if you fish saltwater. I will always use this bucket, always have and always will.

Good product overall. Has a tight spring loaded “push in†door with a latch to keep live bait secure. Adequate water flow overal to increase longevity. Smaller holding capacity (would not put over 15-20 regular sized shrimp in it).

When surf fishing with live bait, this Frabill bait container keeps my bait alive and fresh. I can slide my hand into it and the door uses spring action to keep shut, so no bait escapes. When the waves are lapping at me as I stand in the surf, this product just makes it easier to do what I gotta do. The Frabill brand has been around for decades, and the reason for that is apparent--the quality is there.

Had one of these before and lost it. Works great for crappie and walleye minnows. It floats and it fits in my livewell.
