I use this on my five gallon bucket that carries my miscellaneous tools/items when I go shoreline fishing in Hawaii. This bucket seat cover saved me an extra thing to carry as it is a multi use product fit to providing a seat as well as cover the contents of the bucket. It is lightweight and sturdy and also latches onto the bucket very well. It takes a little force to get it off so it will not just fall off.The seat padding on it is very comfortable to sit on and is made of very strong hard plastic. I would definitely recommend this not only for fishing, but for any and all outdoor activities as an alternate seat.

This Frabil Strato bucket seat something I could have used for years use with my 5-gallon buckets, but just recently found here on Amazon. I use a tool carriers on my 5-gallon buckets and often use them as a step stool as well. This lid will fit on them so they can be used as seat or step stool and allows longer tools like a hammer, prybar or pipe wrench to protrude from the bucket. I keep it tethered to a bucket handle with a velcro strap so I can carry it with the bucket everywhere. This Frabil seat is made from very solid and sturdy plastic. It doesn't flex or twist when I sit or stand on it. It also has a black textured pad about 1/4-inch thick on top so is comfortable to sit on and has very good traction for standing on it. Just FYI, I'm not sure if this "Bucket Seat" is also intended to be used as a step stool, but it works very well for me in that role.

The Frabill Strato Seat features an inlaid waterproof plastic foam pad to act as a comfortable cushion for extensive use on whatever project you're using it for. Me, personally, I have used this bucket seat while working on my vehicle doing both a total brake job, and reinstalling rear axle shafts. I am a heavy man, weighing in around 250lbs, and the seat retains its sturdiness time and time again. The only time I've managed to get it to bow under my weight was on the aforementioned axle shaft project, using my lap to support the weight of easily 50lb+ axles in addition to my own weight and the amount of tension I had to put them under to reinstall them.Make no mistake, the Strato Seat does have its limitations, but for what it is, it far exceeds my expectations for such a simple and lightweight design. Anyone who is debating whether or not this seat is right for them, allow me to say, it's a must buy!

Very sturdy and great price. I got my through amazon and not a third party. The seat is heavy duty plastic with cheap(but strong) foam padding on top. Mine has not gotten wet yet but the foam looks like it could get rained on and not hurt it. It popped onto my 5 gallon bucket with no problem. My only complaint is that the lid is really hard to get off. It would not be good for someone who needs to get in a out of the bucket frequently. The lid tightness may be different between bucket brands but the two different 5 gallon buckets I used both had a tight fit. The curved opening is just enough to allow something long to stick out of the top and still be able to use the lid as a seat. It is a good match if using a bucket organizer as long as it does not attach to the rim of the bucket where the lid attaches.

I use this on a 5 gallon bucket when I go ice fishing. Its a great way to keep my supplies protected in the bucket, but still let a few of the taller pieces stick out of the bucket. When actually fishing, the padded seat is comfortable. It seems a little expensive for what it is, but I couldnt find anything else cheaper. Once over that pain, every time I go ice fishing, I am so glad I bought it.

Bought this so I could access baseballs for soft-toss while sitting on the bucket. Unfortunately the opening is like half an inch too small for comfortable access to standard size baseballs. Flexible training balls will work, but the experience is still not great. Seat is sturdy enough though.

I use this on my tool bucket when I am terminating wires for long periods. It is so much more comfortable than it looks. 100% serious. If you only sit on one bucket this year....make sure it's got one of these on it! Highly recommended.
