We bought two to keep the boards aligned. Easiest way to get 16†center studs when building a wall. Would give it more than 5 stars if possible.

I'd have given this five stars had it been adjustable. But, it works only for 16 inch on center stud work.

It makes framing go way faster. You don’t have to get out your tape measure and Mark lines and configure where the 16 inch centers. All you do is set it on and pull the trigger on the gun. We have one guy put it in place. The other guy shoots the first nail and then while he’s hitting the second nail the first guy is moving the jig to the next one. It has probably cut our time in half.

I really liked the concept of this tool however, the width of lumber standards is quite a bit thinner than the opening of this tool. When using this tool, there is quite a gap where you have considerable play on where the 2 foot center is. I ended making some shims to make the tool useful. If you plan on using this to frame studs there would be too much accumulation of error on every stud you place. I was using this tool because we were framing a new wall in an old building and we had to build the wall in place. Because of the roof pitch I thought I could use this to line the studs at the top easily but the margin of error would have been too great.
