Pretty stunned with how cheaply made this is. The plastic is thin and flimsy. If the ball happens to bang on the plastic it trips the poorly secured sensors. So this doesn't really keep score correctly.I know it's called "whirlball" and not skee-ball, but you can't roll the ball like you would in skee ball. You can't throw the next ball until the other one fully returns or they will get stuck. If this were 20 dollars, it would be OK, but at over $250, I think someone should go to prison for fraud. Will try to return.

The plastic that you roll the balls into is very cheap for the price you pay. I had to put tape on all the corner because the plastic has tore. This was a gift. I will not buy this product again. I should have just returned and got money back. Not worth it.

Dislikes - Battery case had a poor fitting door. Very difficult to get open. Support frame very small aluminum tubing. Whirl Ball ball receiver plate was a very then hard plate, was miss aligned to canvass to roll the balls and rattled. Poor value for the money.

Assembling this fun game takes about 15 minutes. It unfolds in the same manner as most lawn chairs and folds back up much the same way. Initializing the score board for two players was really confusing for us. Player one would accumulate points but player two would never register. We then watched a YouTube video for another Franklin Sports game called Dual Court Rebound Pro that had a similar scoreboard. The directions for initializing the score board for two players were referred to near the end of that video—it said to turn the power on from the controller followed by briefly pressing the power button again. It appears that this has to be done only once. The score board works now for two players. Why Franklin Sports didn’t include those directions with this game is still a mystery. Other than that initial problem, we’ve been having fun playing this arcade game in the comfort of our own home. We’re glad it folds away when not in use because when fully expanded the arcade is about eight feet long.

My wife and I love skee ball; we play it any chance we get. Unfortunately, getting a skee ball experience at home can be expensive and take up a lot of space. This product solves both those problems. The whole set folds up and can be stowed away when not in use - when packed up, it’s about the size of a folded up lounge chair. When you want to play it, setting it up is a snap. All you need to do is unfold it, click a few supports in, and screw in a bar. After that, just flip on the power switch (by the way, this game requires 4 AA batteries which aren’t included) and you’re ready to go. Just make sure you have enough space in your house; this game is almost 8 feet long when fully set up.The game itself plays well and feels very authentic. Obviously, it doesn’t feel as nice as a professional arcade game, but it’s still very satisfying to roll the ball down and seeing it launch. There are 5 scoring zones, with scores ranging from 10-50, but unfortunately all the scoring zones are in a row and there aren’t the classic corner spots found in traditional skee ball. Those areas are crucial to the game since they add so many layers of strategy to it, but I’m sure production costs prevented them from implementing it. The game has safety nets to prevent rogue balls from flying all over the place, and it’s very convenient having a ball return as well. There are a few other small downsides to the set. For example, the game is loud. The main scoring zone is made out of plastic and rattles a lot when playing. The balls also have a tendency to bounce all over the board and come rolling back towards you. The game modes are limited as well, basically you just have 30 seconds to score as much as you can, and the only options are to play 1 player or 2 players. The features could be a little more robust - for example, they could’ve offered more modes, like being able to try to get the highest score with a set amount of balls. The computer doesn’t even save high scores, and that would’ve been nice to see.In my eyes, those flaws are very minor. I’m mostly ecstatic that this set provides a pretty good skee ball experience that can easily be put away and taken out. My family (both old and young) have gotten a big kick out of this set - if you love skee ball and want a set for your own, this is definitely an option to keep in mind. It’s much better than those tabletop versions they make (the ones where you set up in your hallway) and is just a lot of fun. Highly recommended.

My family was given this as a gift from a friend. I’m assuming they were sent a used and already returned item. The scoreboard was broken, hanging on by a thread. The ball return was not functional. Very disappointed. We planned to return and purchase a new one but will be looking into other options given the poor reviews.
