I have used and loved my original Freeze Flats to neatly store thousands of ounces of breast milk. With baby number 2 I have learned to have multiples of everything when it comes to pumping for convenience. I came to Amazon to buy another Freeze Flat to add to my collection - I already had 6 of the originals, but I have lazy weeks when I just don't want to get one out of the freezer. I saw that there was a new version of this product, so decided to give it a try. You can't tell from the photos, but on the new ones there is velcro on the bottom of one of the plastic pieces to help hold the blue velcro band in place, which makes the whole process of loading it even easier! I especially love that it's simple to provide even pressure across the whole milk bag with the wider band. With the old version some of the fuller bags (6-8 ounces) sometimes ended up a bit slanted if you don't adjust the straps just right. With the new version, this isn't an issue and it's just so easy! I still love and will continue to use my original Freeze Flats, but the new one will be my go to especially for fuller bags.

These types of things seem overpriced for what they are. I tried to DIY one but couldn’t get the same results so while I think it’s expensive for what it is, it’s worth it. I prefer having 2 straps on either end vs one in the middle, which I think is the old design. The plastic still has the slots for the 2 straps which seems like a lazy design change to me. I ended up cutting the thick Velcro strap and fishing through the holes to create two straps. That way it flattens the bag and I can tighten it down better.

Could just be me but they still don’t freeze evenly. The bottoms freeze bigger than tops.

I am a big fan of the Freeze Flat. The two-strap design worked great, but this single-strap version is even easier to use. The simplicity, durability, and value make this a must have for anyone who needs to freeze breast milk. You can place this thing anywhere in a freezer, which is awesome when your freezer is stuffed. It’s absolutely worth it, and makes a great baby shower gift.

I took some scissors to that broad middle piece of Velcro. I cut out two smaller strips out of it and put them on both ends as you can see in the pictures.This helped to even out the pressure instead of only tightening in the middle.I easily fit two 4 ounce bags in the Freeze Flat.I don’t have a full “brick†yet, but so far I have 10 of the 4 oz bags in a gallon ziploc bag and there’s still room for more.Excellent space saver. It’s a must have!

Bottom line: look at the before and after photo. On the right, milk that was freezed in the old fashioned way. On the left, milk freezed with Freeze-Flat.Saves tons of space.Love it

I wish I knew about this sooner because it really helped me save storage. I was able to freeze my milk flat and then put the bags into gallon ziplock bags to store them.
