I really like this deodorizer so far! I’ve been using it for almost 2 weeks now and it works really well. Some scented litters are too overpowering and my cats don’t like it, so this is a good way to control the amount of scent your litter has. I got the “fresh scent†one and it smells like clean laundry.The bottle says to use 1-2 caps of deodorizer for large litter boxes (I have 3 large storage containers that I DIY’d to be mega litter boxes, lol) so that’s what I did. I scoop their boxes 1-2 times a day and I’ve just been topping it off with half a cap of the deodorizer around every 2-3 days. It stays pretty fresh!I saw a couple reviews saying it changed the effectiveness of their clumping litter, but I haven’t had an issue with that. I use Dr Elsey’s unscented litter with it and it still clumps perfectly fine.

I use a litter that does not have much of a scent. These Fresh Step crystals have a nice scent that is not over-powering. They work well to cover up my cat's litter box odors. They also mix easily into the litter. In my experience, they disintegrate in about 5-7 days and then need to be replaced. I would definitely recommend these for fresher litter boxes!

Full disclosure, there are a lot of cats in this house. I have several of my own, and I foster on top of that, so I had high hopes for this, since it wouldn't increase the dust that we already see from the litter, and hopefully would still help with the odor between scoopings. The smell is nice, and it seems to work well initially.Where it falls short for me, is that b/c the crystals disintegrate when they come in contact with liquid after using it several times, my clumping litter doesn't clump as well, meaning that the clumps of urine/litter don't stay clumped, and I don't get all of the soiled litter out of the box, leading the smell to be worse overall than if I'd not used the litter crystals. This probably happened after a week of using it once or twice daily when scooping.The simple solution is to completely change out the litter more often (I tend to be a scoop and top off kind of person, due to the amount of litter we go through with fostering etc.) or don't use the litter crystals with each scooping. Lesson learned. So ultimately, a good product, just be aware of how it can affect clumping litter, and possibly adjust based on that.

I absolutely love this stuff! I have 5 cats so you can imagine their litter box can get really smelly. I hate the smell of dirty litter so when I came across this I couldn’t but it fast enough! I sprinkle this in the litter every time I scoop the box and it helps control the smell so I can go longer in between litter changes which saves me money! Highly recommended from this pet friendly home!

I found this stuff by chance at Walmart once, then couldn't find it again.This are essential if you hate having your house smell like a cat box. I have 4 cats, so I have 2 litter boxes. I use the silica crystal litter and change the litter every week. But by day 4 the litter is a bit smelly. If I add a cap full on day 5 and 6, it completely covers the smell. I've been asked by many people how my house doesn't smell like cats or cat boxes. I always recommend this product along with crystal litter.
