Freud's precision ground carbide bits have a grain size smaller than other grades, and titanium is added making them impervious to chemical attack. Promoting safer woodworking is the reason Freud made a commitment to develop anti-kickback router bits. Bits are computer balanced to insure vibration-free operation at speeds that are a safe margin above the typical 22,000 RPMs of most routers. Freud's philosophy is woodworkers should expect safety, not pay for it. Carbide length 1/2-inch, angle 45 degrees, shank diameter 1/2-inch.

Used this bit to bevel my holes in my steel fab table, all 288 of them. Used a hand held Dewalt router, dialed down to the lowest speed, and just took my time, and this bit did a fantastic job. Watch out for all the little metal chips flying everywhere (read: eye pro) and you will be in great shape. I should have done this years ago, as the bevels allow my clamps into the holes WAY easier. Also, the bevels shine, and so now my table looks like jewelry in my shop. 5 stars all day long.

AS FAR AS THIS ITEM I PURCHASED I bought it for future use to chamfer corners instead of using table saw. the router bit will do a more accurate better quality cut and I do not have to set my table saw at extremes if the cut is on a high corner. I rated the bit well becuz it was made by Freud. all my other bits that are made by Freud have preformed well for quality cuts and durability. the other feature I like is the Freud packaging of their product. the settings for the bit are on the box. this is not an item I use a lot but it will last me for a long time. yes Freud may cost a little more but I always recall the old saying on market street "price is only the lure" I am not a professional woodworker just is my hobby nor I do have any relationship with Freud. just satisfaction with what I purchase from Freud. Purchased this for a table I built in our laundry room. I needed a clean edge and this 45 degree chamfer bit did a great job. The cuts are clean and uniform across the edges.

I’m not a woodworker but I have a large project in my basement workshop. I needed to put a back bevel on some cabinet doors I’m making and this router bit worked perfectly! Great value for the money and was plenty sharp enough that I didn’t have any tear outs.

Great bit, just wish it came I a bigger size. I need to chamfer the full width of a 3/4" thick oak board.
