All parts of these sturdy brayers are heavy duty, including the roller, frame, bearings, and handle, resulting in a smooth and steady roll.The handles are ergonomically designed and will fit hands of children and adults. There's a long hole at the tip of the handle for attaching a tether or hanging directly off a peg or cupboard hook.A very useful feature not found on most brayers is a thick "fender" over the roller. This extension of the handle allows me to rest the inky brayer upside down on my work table to avoid making a mess. It also allows me to put a little extra pressure on the roller using my thumb or index finger if I want. In the two inch model the fender covers almost the entire width of the roller so it also minimizes splatter, much like the front fender of a bicycle wheel.
