This does not stop an animal from running out in front of you. But it gives you and the animal a chance not to hit them. You will see there eyes and that will give you a chance to slow down and be aware they are up there.My wife has hit 3 animals in one month. I have had these on all my cars and motorcycles since the early 70's. After moving to South Carolina I forgot about them and I still have them on my 1995 Honda. After the $6,000 damage to my wife's Bettle in 2012. I installed this and she or I have not hit any animal again.

Everyone who drives away from the city should have these installed. I cannot hear them, but the deer seem to hear them.

You get 4 little packages with 2 whistles each in them. The two whistles are different and there are no instructions so I put the two of them from one package on the grill of my SUV, one on each side, with the included tape and they stick fine even through the car wash which I do 4 or 5 times a week. I have come across one deer ready to cross the road and as soon as I came near he turned around and ran away. After hitting two deer previously before I bought these things I am very happy to have avoided another one. I gave my extras to relatives and I intend to get more in case I ever need them. I deducted a star because of no directions but I have to admit, they DO work.

After my stepdad had gotten into 2 accidents from a deer a few years ago i decided to get him ones to hopefully add any safety in the future. Fast forward 10 years and have been buying for all.of us since! You cannot hear them, is something they just hear (i imagine like the dog barking thing they sell) and I cannot say for sure but we have been clear of deers since. (Knock on wood) I figure for the price, even if it only helps 10% off deer hearing it, is worth every penny!

I drive through the mountains for my commute to work almost everyday and my boyfriend installed the deer whistles on my jeep yesterday before we left. I was hoping we saw either an elk or some deer so I could test them and holy crap 😂 we saw 6 different heards of elk and when we got close to them they all lifted their heads and booked it the opposite direction away from the road!! I'm super happy that they absolutely hate my car now, especially because I drive at night and I really don't want to hit an elk or deer when I'm by myself! Thank you so much for an amazing product!
