I would expect this to come in a coil or wrapped on a tube.. but no. It came in a box so every so often there is a kink in the foam. Depending on your needs this could result in some waste. You can use a heatgun to try to warm the foam lightly and work out the kink, but I wasn't able to remove it fully.

It was okay for what I wanted that is put in a plant pot to give some heights, I should have paid attention to the size thickness.
