I recently installed this skid plate on my 2018 Tesla Model 3, and it’s a good upgrade or replacement for the original. Here’s my experience:Installation:The mounting holes aligned perfectly with the factory hardware, making installation straightforward. I used a 10mm socket drive with an impact driver, and the process went smoothly. A helpful tip: supporting the plate with a box during installation made it easier to align everything properly.Fit and Finish:Overall, the plate fits well and feels solid once in place. However, the left front side was a bit tight and required some extra effort to line up perfectly. After some adjustments, I managed to get it flush, though it initially stuck out by a few millimeters.Packaging:It arrived in excellent condition, unbent and securely packaged with foam to prevent any damage during transit—a small but appreciated detail.Verdict:If you’re looking for a reliable skid plate that’s easy to install and fits well with minor tweaks, this is a great choice. It’s durable, well-designed, and a worthwhile upgrade for any Tesla owner.

Fits perfectly on my 23 Model 3 standard. It comes with noise dampening foam on it to quiet down the road noise. Definitely would suggest this as a replacement.

I bought this after seeing online where people have run over something and then severed the battery cooling lines; there is no easy fix other than a whole new battery. This is cheap insurance to further prevent that from happening. Fits my 2022 Model 3 LR just fine and was a bit larger than the stock plastic one. Not much heavier either. Has foam padding on the upper side to reduce sounds and rattles as well. Great product!

Solid packaging and nice fit. Glad I paid a little more than a few other sellers on Amazon for great product. Highly recommend. Went to a local mechanic who only charged $75 to install both front and rear panels.

Had a decent dent in if from shipping. Didn’t care, not going to see it once it’s installed. Installation was easy, fit was perfect. I was worried about the rear corners, but they lined up great. Decent protection at a decent price.

The replacement is way better than the flimsy aeroshield, that rips apart frequently. On the 2019 M3 AWD, holes line up perfectly. The paint quality can be good(the paint cracked on the bent aluminum edge-shipping damage, but not an issue). The rubber backing is a nice touch. The aluminum is strong, and also easier to flex, to straighten the bent edge. Now to the not so fun part:The shield is supported by 4 bolts(two outer ones are held by nut on a metal plate welded to stabiluzer bar?, the two middle ones go on metal inserts on plastic front underplate?) in front, one a little bit in middle(goes on chassis for motor mount), two big nuts(go on bolts on chassis), four more bolts on the back(supposed to go on hv battery pack box?/divider).The issue was the two front outer bolts. They are secured by a nut that is almost inaccessible, needing to open up the plastic underside plate(held by push clips). These nuts are a must and cannot be skipped, due to heavier aluminum. I do realize, I might have gotten a lemon(remembering the nut had odd bumps on 4 corners). The nuts are supposed to be welded in place, but due to poor qc/production hell?, the nuts were installed later. So you might not have the same issue(fingers crossed)These two screws took more than 2 hrs, to be secured properly. Other than that, the installation was straight forward. The additional hex cap nuts with spring clips was a nice touch.

The packaging was very robust with reinforced corners and foam rubber protecting all four corner tips.It fit perfectly and was not warped or bent at all.I was especially impressed that it had a thin layer of high density foam on the top side of it for sound dampening.

This one looks exactly like the one that RPMTesla uses. Aluminum skid plate with foam insulation for sound dampening. Original plastic skid plate on my 2024 Model Y got damaged and one of the screws was missing. Bought replacement screws (M1.0) and this plate. This is the one everyone needs. My original plastic plate did not have the "wings" on the back section of the plate(see pics). The new one still fits. When you remove the old plate there are two additional screws that do not hold the plate that you need to remove to connect the "wings" of the aluminum plate. Very easy install. Used ramps and crawled underneath to swap plates. Need #10 and #15mm sockets. Also need a hex for the included extended nuts/washers which replace the #15 nuts from the old plate. This is a necessity if you plan on owning your TMY a long time like myself. Get this aluminum skid plate!

The first shipment was damaged. The packing is inadequate and the “ears†that project can get bent. I had to send the first one back. The return wirked well without a hitch. The second came in good condition. My grandson had no trouble installing it. I hope that I never get to test it out.
