This seemed fine at first. However i realized this shut off infact, does not shut off. I have to pull my tank while working on carbs and such, meaning it dumps the gas left in the tank all over when i pull the fuel line off the petcock. 2nd I've realized it actually leaks gas as well, I'm not talking around the seal at the tank where it screws in, But rather where the seam in the metal is. With that being said i have to purchase a new one. Other than those issues it does its job i guess. Maybe its the one i got.. im not sure.. but now ill be buy another one somewhere else 6 months later.

I'm Happy to say my bike is running great after changing this petcock. I had no idea there was a recall on my 2002 Honda Shadow I was never notified either by mail or email but yet I was still paying the loan for the bike. And I had problems for years with the fuel nobody could figure out what it was Here it was a freaking recall!!!! Bad move Honda!!!!

The fuel selector knob does not line up with the original. It is about 20 degrees off so it does not point directly at the indicator. Also the reserve tube is not the same length as the original which changes the amount of fuel in the reserve tank

Replaced my 2000 Honda VLX 600 gas tank petcock and now am able to shut the fuel off again. Fit perfectly and great to have a screen on the petcock again.

Fit my Shadow 600 no problem, only issue is the valve stem broke damn near instantly when I turned the valve. Flimsy plastic turning metal...
