Excelent condition. im amazed about the lens sharpness! i has been doing some street shooting and i feel it perfect for it as it gives you the "wideness" enough for give context around the subject being photographed without being an ultra-wide (and without the distortion that involves).I like the pancake format as it do not attract a lot of attention vs a lens that is more than 1 hand long; which makes a difference at the final total weight (body+lens), as you can being holding the camera for more time without getting the wrist tired; at my previous tour i has been shooting with the XF23mm 1.4R and and difference is HUGE for holding it for more than 3 hours.it has a nice speed, vs the XF23 it is a tiny more loudy, but for real you will not even hear it at cities.

I have many Fujifilm lenses, including both the f/1.4 and f/2.0 versions of the 23mm and 35mm lenses, giving a full frame equivalent of 35mm and 50mm. Often, I'll go out with only one lens, and will mentally debate with myself on which to take. I can be productive with either, but I can over-annalize on which would be best. The 27mm is right in that middle ground sweet spot and if you are out in good light, it can do the job of either of the other two with a bit of up and back movement. The lens is petite, almost toy-like compared to my f/1.4 lenses but only in terms of size. The optics and functionality are up to Fujifilm standards. The addition of the aperture ring is what let me pull the trigger on this lens. I could not function without the ability to look down and set my f-stop for the scene before lifting the camera to compose, so the first generation was a non-starter for me. Additionally, they added a tiny lens hood for some physical protection as well as keeping stray light off the front element, but only for shallow angles. They include two caps, one spring loaded squeeze type for the lens alone, and a slip on type for going over the hood. One downside thing... the AF motor is the same first generation type from the original 27mm. It works fine on my X-T3, X-pro2 and X-E3, but there is audible sound. I never shoot video, ever, so I am not going to drop a star off the rating for this. If video is a big deal for you, this lens might not be the best choice.I am including a photo to show the size advantage on an X-pro2 next to a smaller X-E2s with a conventional lens. The size and performance will make this lens a key player for outdoor street and travel photography. I'm glad I bought it.Added edit March 29th: I have now taken this lens out on several real world excursions and have shot well over 1000 images. This use reinforces my initial testing results... this is a terrific lens! On my X-Pro2, this lens is like an extension of my eye. I just find myself in the right spot before lifting the camera. The results (sharpness, contrast, color, etc...) make me smile when I return and look at the images on a big screen. Absolutely no regrets on this purchase.

I shoot with a Fujifilm XT5 and in this focal length range had the 23mm f/2, which I ended up selling when I got this lens. Yes it's slower but its size absolutely makes up for that since it transforms a body like the XT5 into a really small package-- Really the difference between grabbing it on the way out the door for a possible shooting opportunity or leaving it home. Reviews about the noisy autofocus are correct, and it will give a little sound when the camera is turned on and of course when it's autofocusing, especially in low light. I usually put a B&W clear filter on my lenses but if you're buying this I wouldn't jump to thinking you'll need a protective filter right off the bat. The outer element is small and with the small included lens hood it seems pretty protected. I'm just shooting with the lens hood in place. Recommended.

This Fujinon XF 27mm F 2.8 lens is much better than TTArtisan's, with slimmer size (real pancake feel), better optical quality and smoother operation, the only disadvantage is that it costs much more, almost double the price of TTArtisan.

I do really like this lens, but I took a star for being overpriced. The tried both TTartisan 27mm f/2.8 AF lens and this one. This lens has more pop and more reliable(consitantly good) image quality. Has nice contrast, color, and sharpness. While I think TTartisan is amazing value, it's not as good as Fuji lens.As for Fujifilm 27mm f/2.8 R WR, it's Fuji's most compact lens. As a pancake lens, it makes more Fujifilm cameras jacket pocketable. It has good image quality with good contrast, color, and sharpness. Very fun lens to use as well. Added aperture ring is good as well as weather sealing on this new version, but I read that image quality is same as the older version and AF is still loud compared to most of the new lenses for Fuji. If you don't need the aperture ring and or weather sealing, older version can be better value. Besides, many of the compact Fujifilm camera like X-E4 series and X-T50 series are not weather resistant so WR of the newer lens is useless on those cameras which this lens would be perfect for. While I think 27mm f/2.8 lens is great, it is a bit over priced at $400 for f/2.8 prime lens and less common 40mm equivalent focal length imho. Wish it was at least f/2 lens with AF motor that is on 23mm f/2 WR or 35mm f/2 WR lenses at current asking price. I personally got XF 18mm f/2 R instead for wider 27mm (more versatile IMHO) equivalent focal length, f/2 max aperture, and only slightly thicker pancake lens without the hood.

This is a great little lens with very sharp resolution and perfect for street photography. I use it on the X-Pro3 so, it makes for a nice, compact set-up. I recommend getting a UV filter for it as the lens glass is deeply set and could be difficult to have to try to clean any dust out. Great lens though and happy to have found it available on Amazon at a time when I couldn't find one anywhere else. I must have gotten lucky though because, the next day it was unavailable again.

Excelente lente.

Very disappointed that the item sent was the older version of the 27mm lens and not the one described in the listing. The box was also very damaged, looked like it had been opened numerous times and repaired badly - not a new product box.

This is a bright little lens. It is easy carry and works very well with Fujifilm X system cameras. Many reviewers and expert Fujifilm users have had great comments about this lens. There are also some reviewers (and pseudoreviewers) who dislike this lens. That is to be expected and should not deter anyone who really needs this lens for their specific needs. It is quite enjoyable to use.
