Your cart is empty.This is a custom fretboard designed specifically for use on cigar box guitars with necks 1 1/2-inch wide. The fretboard is 20 inches; long, 1/4-inch thick and has 20 frets, spaced for a 25-inch scale length. We offer these fully fretted, ready to glue down onto your CBG neck! We also offer this same fretboard style in other great wood varieties, be sure to check them out! This fretboard is made from red oak, a classic, durable American hardwood with a lovely pink-gold hue. It looks great on both light and dark necks, and will definitely complement your special build. These fretboards are handcrafted in the C. B. Gitty workshop, and we do our best to mill each one to exacting specifications. However, please note that each piece will be different in appearance from the one in the photo due to natural variations in wood grain and coloration. Keep in mind that these are unfinished fretboards, so once you apply your favorite finish the color will darken and become more lustrous than what is shown in the photos.

Exactly as ordered. On reflection I possibly should have ordered 'slotted' but unfretted. If you want to add for e.g. a dye or oil to the wood you may need to mask off frets otherwise they may become 'sticky' from product.

Excellent quality fretboard. Perfect for 3 or 4-string CBGs (too narrow of course for 6 string). It precisely fits 1x2 lumber commonly used for the main neck (which of course is exactly 1 1/2" wide because the lumber industry lies). Can't say much more than that; great quality is great quality. Quite satisfied.

It is straight and the frets are solid. Put a little epoxy glue and clamp it to your 1 x 2 and tou got yourself a great guitar neck. It was well packaged and can in fast. Great service.

Beautiful wood and nice craftsmanship on the frets. Will purchase more for future builds.
