Although there were some bad reviews, I purchased this set for my 21 month old grandson anyhow, because he likes to crash things, and that is exactly what bowling is. You crash a ball into pins that are standing up and you knock them down. He loves it! Also I get to spend time with him while setting the pins back up. As far as the product goes, it is definitely worth the money you pay for the set. At under $10.00, I am not sure what some of the buyers were expecting since they ended up giving bad reviews. One complaint was the pins got smashed easily. So do human bones, sometimes, when you step on them. The pins are light weight but that is good for a child, as sometimes they tend to swing things that look like they have a handle. The balls are plenty sturdy and heavy enough to knock the pins down and I had no problem getting the pins to stand up, even on the carpet. Great product if your child or grandchild likes to crash things.

These pins are flimsy, and not the toy pins I had growing up, but if you are playing indoors on a hard surface, they stand up just fine. They do get crushed easily when stepped on, but with some manual shaping you get fix them. For the cost, it's reasonable. All that said, my 2yo is obsessed with bowling. He has many toys. But this is the one toy that he plays with every day. Even over a month later. So that's 5 stars in his book.

I was a little surprised at the small size of the bowling pins. Even though the ad listed that they were 8 1/2 inches tall, in my head, I envisioned them being bigger (guess I should have taken out my ruler). Nonetheless, we are able to bowl! I bought the set to use with one of my students with special needs. We knock down pins and add up the number we knock down. We do play inside, but my pins don't "fall over" as one reviewer had written. They do stand freely, and my student is even able to stand them up by himself. Though the balls are light, they still roll straight and easily knock down the pins upon hitting them. For the money, they definitely suit the purpose!

bought these for a birthday party game, and they worked okay. they're pretty small so they aren't the sturdiest to stand up and take a while to reset. The wind can knock them over. The plastic is super thin, so if they get stepped on, they dent and it's super hard to get the plastic back to the way it was (it'll still have crinkles). One of the balls got dented as well. They're super inexpensive, so I guess we got some use out of them and hopefully they'll still work till my kids outgrow them. none of them have cracked, so I guess there's that!

These pins are so light, it's so hard to keep them up especially on carpet. The ball is made of plastic so it doesn't give a strong roll either. Not the best purchase and we used for a day and it's somewhere in storage now :(

I should have listened to the earlier reviews. it is not worth it. This should have been meant for babies 6 month olds to 1 year old infants. These are made of cheap ,light weight plastic, so it is safe for toddlers to grab the pins and bang in the crib. You cannot play Bowling on hardwood floors or carpet. The pins wont stay upright and bend easily. I bought it for my 3 yr old and 5 yr old , but they were dissapointed. I wish they should have made with hard rubber instead of cheap plastic. Dont buy it...

I read the reviews before buying, so I knew these weren't the heavier, sturdier kind I used to have as a kid. I only needed something for $7 to get my free shipping, so this was perfect! I gave it to my one and a half year old for Christmas and all my kids love playing with it on the tile floor in our hall. Once pin has dented a bit as it got stepped on or something, but it still stands up straight and even my one year old can stand the pins up herself to go bowl again. The stickers for the stripes on the pins have pretty much all came off, but they were just for looks anyways. This is a great little toy for keeping kids busy, and since the pins are so cheep and light, the girls can't knock each other over the head with them and get hurt, always another plus when your a mom! Don't know that it will last forever, but for the price it was worth it!
