I actually use these for myself rather than a pet. The outer layer of cloth on each side is comfortable on the skin. They sandwich a core of heat-reflective material. Just sitting on or near the blanket makes me warm up quickly, and the heat is much more soothing than a heating pad. The center material does make a crinkly sound when you fold or move the blanket, and the blanket is a bit stiff. I've bought two different sizes.

This blanket is super soft and the darker gray color is very nice. I also have the dove color (beige). I believe it retains heat because my cats like to lay on them and one of the cats makes biscuits. I can hear the insulating material softly crackling when she makes biscuits. One cat made a little mess on it the first day and it was super easy to clean. I got the big dog size because I have multiple cats that may want to lay together. For now I’ve folded them into quarters and there’s still plenty of room for one large cat. Also, they’ll keep your furniture underneath clean. I’m glad I purchased these and may be back for more.

I'd recommend using this for cats instead. My dog chews on it and I worry about him ingesting the lining.

This dog blanket is amazing , very soft but the miracle is that when pressure is applied such as your dog sitting on it , it gets comfortably warm . I have no idea what makes this happen but it sure is cozy on those cold winter nites for your fur baby .

While the blanket is very soft, and the perfect size for a couch or chair, it is three layers with a seam around the outside edges. Since there are no inside seams holding them together it it very slippery. So when the one of our three dogs jump up on it, it slips pretty much into bunch at the back side of the couch. We will use the two we brought for now, but wouldn't buy more of them.

I really liked these at first and bought several sizes for our 2 dogs for different places they sleep. Problem is that I wash them almost weekly and after a few washes the inside (heat reflecting part?) started to bunch up and I think it has even torn. It is hard to push, pull, punch it back into place within the outer blanket part and just keeps getting worse. I may end up cutting it out and just have the blanket part.

I bought one of these hoping one of my two cats would like it. Realized there was a cat always in it. Bought another. Love how much they like to nap on it. If you have a cat with a favorite nap spot, buy one of these and they’ll hang out in their favorite spot even more. I bought these to help minimize fur on my couch. Game changer. Cheap and works.

Did I get a different product than everyone else? Why does this have so many good reviews? The blanket felt stiff and weird. Still I put it in my dog's kennel, she was in the kennel with it for less than an hour while we were at the grocery store and when we came home it was destroyed. The inside looks like styrofoam. I hope chewing on it did not hurt her, it was in many small pieces.
