I purchased two of the small size blankets and here's some questions answered:Is it stiff? A little. It's a lot like what you would expect if you put a piece of craft (brown) paper inside of a pillowcase. It slightly holds its shape, but it's so thin that it's definitely still a blanket.What's it feel like? The sherpa side is very, very soft, almost like cotton balls. The other side is like a knockoff velvet, which is also very soft. Again, it's very thin and lightweight, but that's why it has the inner workings for warmth.How warm is it? I put my hand on it and within 10 seconds it was noticeably warmer. But note, my hand was warm. If you have a pet that doesn't naturally produce a heat, like an elderly pet or a reptile, this will likely only help very slightly.Waterproof? No. Also, DON'T put it in the dryer.Does it smell? Nope. And I'm sensitive to smells. But, wash it first. You don't know where it's truly been.Does it grip or slide around? It slides, likely because the fabric is so soft and the inner workings aren't sewn anywhere but on the edges, so the fabric slips against the inside layer. Don't put this anywhere you would consider a walkway.Is it for humans? If you're looking for something to stuff in your car for emergencies, this (large size) could work. It's got the same stuff in it as those silver emergency blankets. And because it's thin it doesn't take up much space. I wouldn't use it as a regular blanket though.

My outdoor cat likes this, but I'm not sure the self heating insert works that well. I still had to put a heat light outside for him in tbe colder temps.

I think this is one of my best purchases from Amazon If my dog could talk I know he would thank me for making cold winter nights much more comfortable. I only wish they made these for humans. The concept is not complicated. A flexible sheet of foil is sandwiched between two layers of very soft material which reflects the dogs body heat back to him while he rests on it or over him. The choice is his. When he gets up the area covered by the blanket is nice and warm. I purchased a large blanket that is capable of lining the bottom of his crate. It has held up well and is washable. Cost was reasonable. Try it.! He/she will thank you.

I bought this to see if it was a cheaper Paw equivalent. It is cheaper but nowhere close to as good as the paw blanket I have. This one is noisy and won't stay put because of how light it is. That being said, this is still worth the price I paid. It is very soft on one side (not so much on other side) and seems waterproof. I will use it for after giving my dog a bath, to protect my furniture and help her stay warm while she dries. It will be quick to wash and dry with towels since it is lightweight. It also looks nice out of the box but not sure how well it will hold up over time. So overall, worth the money.

I was originally going to cancel the item because of some other reviews I saw. I thankfully couldn't because it was in middle of being shipped. It arrived today(Nov 20,2021). She hasn't moved from it yet.Noticeable pros: She loves it. It is super soft. Appears to do its intended purpose(keeping her warm). The middle layers plastic like noise is hardly noticeable. Fast shipping. It's so cute.Cons: it is a little stiff from the middle layer when you open it up. But that could be because it's new. I'll update in a couple days if that changes after it gets truly broken in... I'll also update any cons after it's first wash. If there is no after wash update. Then all is well with that too.

I’ve been sitting in my car for over an hour because the outside cat, Mama Kitty, likes this blanket so much that she fell asleep on it in my lap and I don’t have the heart to wake her up. It was smaller than I thought it would be, but that’s my own fault for rushing and not paying attention to measurements. I also know from experience that the mat inside can end up getting crunched up inside the blanket after washing, so I’m debating trying to sew a few seams across to hold it in place. She loves it though!

I have several cats that love to stay outside, even during the winter months. So I bought this blanket to give them something warm to cuddle up on when sitting on the porch soaking up the sun. So far I haven't had any complaints. Even my dog tries to steal it to lay on it. I only gave it 4 stars on the water resistance due to it is water resistance up to a point. After multiple cats with wet paws using it throughout the day into the night, the blanket is wet. It still does the job of assisting the cats stay warm when needed. I have only had this blanket for 3 months now, so I will update my review in about 6 months. Hopefully it will still earn the 5 star rating.

A mi gatita de 10 años le ha encantado, es suave y al tener una capa termica mantiene y aumenta su propio calorcito. A varios dÃas de uso tiene unos hilillos jalados por las uñas, lo cual me parece normal.

I tuck this into the seat part of our pale blue couch and it stops the muddy paws and does not look out of place as well. A versatile option that protects our furniture, can be removed if we have visitors and moved to cater for the dog's whims.
