Hard plastic, You can easily get them off to melt other side. Perfect for small pieces, when it comes to them staying together be very careful, they will go together but are easily seperared . The quality is great for the money spent..

The plastic is easy to connect and is strong but I noticed that you have to lower your iron heat no you don’t melt the plastic along with the beads. Overall still good tho:)

Item melted….far from durable when the idea is to melt the beads!!! And snapped so easy when trying to make flat again!!
