This drain is located at the side of my driveway that collects a large amount of water. The former grated plastic drain cover has cracked over time, because of cars and even delivery trucks running over it.I decided on the cast iron grate for the weight, and the fact that cast iron "scales" every hundred years, instead of rusting like steel does.I have pictured it above, and if you have a leaf problem, I suggest putting a mesh screen underneath, for leaves passing through the large grate opening and clogging your runoff.

Use the garage as a home gym and had to replace the previous plastic one due to someone dropping dumbbells on it. This one much more durable and can be used as a shield against small swords

These are a perfect fit for NDS catch basins. The plastic grate that came with mine was too restrictive and got clogged too easily. This is much better. Very sturdy, not sure about how durable the finish is.
