This cube has a great feel and nice clean turns, it's well made and definitely the cube you are looking for it you are just starting out speed cubing. You absolutely cannot go wrong with this one. I am sure you know, but Gan cubes are basically the gold standard of cubes, right now, and this is one of the cheaper ones in their product line and it still feels better than the more expensive cubes that I have from other brands. The matte finish is super nice to have as the cube doesn't get all slicked out like UV finished cubes. I am not a fan of the UV (sleek) finish cubes, as after a cubing session, they will be greasy from your hands and you need to wipe them off.This cube, out of the box, is fast, responsive, and has a great feel. This is also a pretty quiet cube. You won't be getting the click-click sounds you might be used to when you are finger-tricking through a solve. Personally, I like them a bit on the quiet side as long as a cube doesn't feel mushy. This is a cube I really enjoy using as a travel cube. I wouldn't really want to toss a Gan flagship 12 or 14 in my backpack to be using somewhere it might get lost or taken, so I bring this with me.If you are just getting into cubing, or are a cuber but looking for a good and inexpensive speedcube, you cannot go wrong here.

When our son was gifted a Rubik's Cube by a family member it brought back days of frustration from my own childhood. Haha! He worked with them to get the basics down and started watching instructional videos on how to solve it. While watching he learned about "speed cubes" and asked if he could get one when he masters the process. Well, he did and we got him the Gan cube he wanted. I am not a "cuber" but even I can tell this thing is really well made and feels different / better than the original and others he has. It it expensive? Yeah, but he earned it.

I like Rubiks cubes. the one I had was $20 just like this one, But when I got this one, it is soooo much better.

So first of all, the cube is very fast and durable and even if it does fall apart it’s magnetic so you can easily put it back together it’s silent so you can use it anywhere without disturbing friends and family. I recommend it for anyone who wants to start speedcubing

My previous cube was an official Rubik's cube and it was very stiff and hard to use, this one is way smoother and turns extremely fast. The value is pretty good although there are some slightly cheaper cubes that might perform similarly. The build quality is great and it feels solid.

Great cube. A friend's kid had one these and I was really impressed just how different a cube of this quality feels compared to my only previous reference, an actual Rubik's cube. I've always wanted to learn how to solve a cube and I realized if I had a cube like this one I would probably stick with it until I learned to solve cubes consistently. I definitely didn't need this pricey of a cube to learn on, I just needed a cube that was relatively recent and not a Rubik's. However, I now know the beginner method and have started learning the CFOP method. The cube is just now feeling like it could use some lubrication. I am very happy with the quality vs. price aspect and would buy again, as well as give as a gift.
