it's a good amiibo, very detailed so if you don't scan it in much it's still cool to have on display. if you scan it into smash bro's you can train it. I would recommend doing team battles with it though. because if you're a ganondorf main and fight one on one with him its really easy to get confused, so you think you're winning one moment and then you relize it was you who got throw off the edge of the map and now you're falling to your death with the amiibo standing over there taunting you. it's also compatible with breath of the wild. if you scan it in there you can get the sword of the six sages. which is the sword ganondorf almost got executed with in twilight princess but then pulled it out of his chest and then used it to stab one of the sages, I mean how cool is that! and if you're wondering , yes if you break the sword you can spawn it again, it just may take a while. the drops from the amiibo are random, so you might get the sword of the six sages or you might get a lynel hoof. so all in all its a really cool amiibo. would recommend.

It's the Japan version, but the actual Amiibo is the same as the domestic release.I use this for Breath of the Wild, and yes it works as expected. For what it's worth, you get just random stuff unless/until you free one of the divine beasts. Then you will get (immediately in my case) the Sword of the Six Sages...the first time Link actually has ever wielded this weapon, incidentally, being that it has been in Ganon's care ever since it was used against him those many years (and games) ago.It's a decent sword, decent power (two handed, incidentally) and give a bit of oomph to the game.I was initially hesitant to go for the Japan import version, but I needn't have worried...it works great and the packaging has the nifty katakana/kanji script so I can pretend I grok Japanese. Given the scope of Breath of the Wild, having Amiibos handy really does smooth things over and minimizes grinding, and this one is no exception. I like it.
