What can you say, it’s a metal box. Metal seems thick enough, I chose this one because it is black not orange or green. Also mine did come with actual Cat-1 sized pins which is great, as opposed to Cat 0 with bushings as some of the other ones do. All in all it’s a box full of rocks but works great and does what I need it to do.

How this is able to be made and shipped for free at the price offered is a puzzle. It works really well on an older Kubota 7510 with loader - making it safe and easy to pull logs with the bucket out of ditches with no tipping. I filled it 6 inches from the top with washed stone - and put the chains on top when not in use. The welds are fine. I wouldn't pull a load with the hitch receiver, but for another hauling point at rear it is fine. The hardware that came with is good quality, and the box prevented damage well. Keep it covered and the paint should last. Very pleased.

You can’t go wrong for the price. Very well built, zero issues, I use it for yard trailers, boats, and a utility trailer. I lower it down go under the ball raise up the hitch, and move it to wherever I need it to go.

The welds are unbelievably ugly !The panels of the box weren't cut precisely so the huge welds bridge the gaps. I'll just reinforce any seams that burst with angle iron.For just a few extra $ and better cutting/welding the manufacturer could have made a superb box.

Ballast box looks good. No dents and paint is good. Filling my ballast box with cement.Fedex did an excellent job delivering this. I was surprised the dude carried this to the door himself.Update.. I was able to fit eight 60 pound bags of cement. Granted I did not pack it in. Just poured and smoothed out and pushed into the corners. My goal was to get the box to weight 500-600 pounds for a subcompact.

One side I had to grind just to get the bolt to fit and the other side went right on. You would think they would check everything after building it so everything fit right.

Look I didn't want to justify spending 500$ on a simple ballast box, so this popped up on Amazon. It's perfect, yea the hardware is whatever. Hand tightened them put it on my tractor and started moving 1000 pound logs for my business. It works, it connects, if holds chains and tools and weight. What more could I ask for. I sell firewood so it's going to have the life of a tree service/logging tractor. Works on my Bobcat Tractor just fine. Love it.
