I do a lot of planting in natural landscape settings. This little dibbler lets me make appropriate holes for bulbs or small transplants without hauling around a large spade.

This is a great tool for bulb planting if your soil is soft and loose. It would hurt your wrist in clay or compacted soil.I have average soil and worked on a day after a rain, and it was super easy to move the soil and get my tulip bulbs in.The main wood beam and handle are super sturdy and solid, fit well in the hand with or without gloves. The metal point is plenty point and digs well, but it rattles a little from not being firmly fitted to the main beam. I'm sure it will last a long time, but I'd feel more like it was a high-quality tool if the metal fit perfectly and didn't rattle a bit and let dirt get in.It's really a small thing, but I'd be happier if it were made more precisely and I wouldn't give it as a gift to a gardener because of it.

Horrible quality tool. Handle has several cracks and tip is bent. Metal tip doesnt even line up with handle and the whole metal sheathe is LOOSE despite 2 screws. Extremely disappointed. Returning it.

Looks to be poor quality and cheaply made. Picture doesn’t show seam running length of metal and metal held on with one small screw. Loose before ever being used

I use this for planting seeds and small transplants as well as drawing a straight line.

I'm very impressed with Garden Guru weeding and garden tools but this tool, not so much. Steel tip was loose and rocked because the wooden handle was not cut down enough for the steel cone to slide onto the tapered handle and fit properly. Used my belt sander to remove the excess wood and now it fits the way it should. Shouldn't have to do that, of course, so it gets two stars. The top t-handle is slightly loose as well, so it will have to be glued later when it comes off. Suitable only for soft soil. You get what you pay for.
