I've tried hose splitters from my local hardware store and found all lacking - either a tendency to leak from the threaded connector or through the quarter turn plastic shutoff valves on each end of the split. This solid brass hose splitter is a perfect replacement - absolutely no leaks anywhere, solid performance at both the shutoff valves (robust) and in the connection to the hose bib. The kit includes teflon tape for the threads on the hose bib and also two extra rubber washers for future use. Overall - nice product, exactly what I was looking for.

This is an extremely high quality and durable splitter. Often times we want our hose hooked up and have water accessible from the spigot. This does the job and is so easy to use. We really like that the levers to open and close the water flow are solid brass levers and not like the small plastic toggle type on our previous splitter.They even included extra gaskets and pipe tape. I expect this product will last for many, many years. Well worth the price for this quality splitter.

Good plastic splitter, switches work, the plastic ones are especially good when you have hard water so they don't weld themselves in place like the brass or stainless ones.

This review is for Garden Hose Splitter 2 Ways Water Hose Splitter Nylon Fiber 3/4" Hose Y Splitter Outdoor Faucet Splitter with Leak Proof Tape and 2 Extra Rubber Gaskets. I’ve owned so many of these over the years and so far, most of the plastic faucet splitters have not lasted for more than a year in our Chicagoland area (even stored in a deck box or inside the garage). I’m hopeful with this one partly because I like the valve switch on this one. It looks similar to my last splitter but the left switch on my old one just spins and does nothing because the plastic has worn out due to a notched design with weak rubber. This one seems like it would not run into the same problem but I don’t like the screws that are used in the valve switch. I can’t use my philips screwdriver to open it up to see inside. A lot of times, I have to do this to fix any issues before tossing the entire thing. We tend to have a lot of lime or calcium buildups in the water so I like to clean it out, if possible. Note the splitter has thick threads so I had to use a vacuum breaker (i.e. anti-siphon hose bib) or quick connect hose attachment to be able to hook it up to my spigot which has very fine threads. Other people may not have this problem but if I tried to attach this splitter directly to my outdoor spigot, it will not align correctly and will fit lopsided (see pix) and worse, ruin the plastic thread inside, if I forced it. Plastic thread does tend to do this so I prefer solid metal. However, these work fine with the proper thread size so something to be aware of that's all. It comes with a roll of plumbers tape (which I find to be too stiff or dry) and extra rubber gaskets which is nice. Overall, this is a fine garden hose splitter and works well without any leaks. For now, I would give it a 4.0/5.0 - 08/26/2024.

This splitter is a straightforward Y shape with a ball valve in each side, which are open when the handle is parallel to the pipe and closed when the handle is turned sideways. The construction is all plastic, except for the metal screws. The provided rubber washers have retention flaps to help keep them from falling out, and it's nice to have thread tape as well. If you keep it moist all the time then long term you'll probably have rust issues with the screws, but otherwise I think it should hold up pretty well given how thick the construction is. I didn't have any issues with leaking on either valve and it seems to hold pressure well if fully closed.

This worked outstanding until the 1st cold snap. Brass cracked at the corner. Water was shut off and shut off was insulated.

I needed a hose splitter for my regular garden hose and a separate hose for watering plants on the deck. This splitter works fine without any leaks.

This is a well made faucet/hose tee having a gate valve for each branch. Since all parts are made from (heavy duty) plastic, it is important to be careful not to cross-thread the hose coupling threads when making a connection to metal (i.e. brass) fittings. The flip side of having plastic threads is that they do not corrode and their slight elasticity helps make a snug fit. The tee comes with gaskets (which should be used to avoid leaks) and plastic thread tape (which should not be used for sealing because the coupling end surface should press against the gasket to effectuate a water tight seal).This was exactly what I needed to connect two hoses to one faucet. I didn't need the valves, but tested them and found them to work fine. Everything was seamless (no pun intended).
