We're really happy to have gotten this apron. My wife is 5'2" and has found that as long as she ties the waste ties above her waste, the apron works fine. We love the big pockets for stuffing full of all the goodies from the garden. We can carry tools we need in other pockets. The apron is highly adjustable - perhaps even having too many adjustments. We're not sure we need all the straps but it doesn't hurt. They're great for playing in the dirt (or clay, in my case) and not getting all dirty.

So, there's nothing really wrong with this apron. The pockets are great--nice and deep--and the material is strong and a good color. For the most part it is easy to put on and does a good job protecting your clothes. The issue is the extended length that goes to your knees. It does weird things to the apron. Once strapped on your legs, the apron bunches up funny, if you don't have the legs adjusted right. And adjusting them right is practially impossible since you are moving and kneeling and reaching as you garden, so the "right spot" changes constantly. I found I really hated the leg part and just left them unstrapped to my legs, but that's weird too as they flap around when you walk. I found myself wishing, over and over, that this was just an ordinary apron that came down an ordinary length and didn't try to be all fancy on my legs.Maybe you like aprons strapped to your legs. Turns out I don't. I thought I would when I ordered these, but changed my mind quickly.

I ordered this product because it thought it would help protect my skin when I cut the grass. I have a couple of sandy areas that when I go over with the lawn mower it throws sand, small rocks, and debris at me and stings and can scab my shins up pretty good. You think of aprons and overalls (for which I consider this to be a sort of hybrid) as being somewhat bulky and maybe a little too large to give you maximum protection and coverage. I'm 5'4 and about 4foot wide meaning that I am short but not a small built man. This product I believe is designed for someone short but also slight of build. The pics are a little dark but you may be able to see that this apron is pretty tight on me with all the straps in place and fastened. This is made of some type of pvc material. It's durable and protective but doesn't give so moving around in this thing is a little tricky when you walk it's like the whole thing moves and rubs at the strap points so I could definitely predict blisters in those areas with prolonged use. I tested this product by cutting the grass. The leg parts gave me good coverage but the inseam is low and when I had the leg portions strapped to my calves when I walked I felt like I was restricted at the knees and had to take baby steps to compensate. I tried to unbuckle the straps and just let the leggings hang free but then thier just seemed to be too much extra material that was flapping around and in the way when I walked. Rolling up the fabric and trying to tuck them up using the straps didn't help much either. So for me, this was a dud. This kind of material this is, I don't think that this will 'break in' with repeated use so I don't think it will get better using it in time. This will fit some people and work just fine, but I think those people will tend to be short and smaller framed. I think for a lot of people, if you are on your knees digging in flower beds, the leggings will protect them. Or if you are doing other gardening activities that don't require much walking then I think this could be a very useful product. But for me, performing a more physical activity such as cutting the grass, this didn't work very well and I do not recommend It for that.

I like the depth and width of all of the pockets on this apron, the sewing appears to be very well done and the material is of a very nice grade. I have no doubt that it will last a very long time. I like the adjustable latches on the waist and legs. The only part I wasn't thrilled with was the adjustable strap around the neck because it felt irritating to my skin. However, I am solving that issue with a felt pad (the kind you use on a car seat belt strap). In all, I am happy with this apron because I will be putting it to good use during the year.

So... I like wearing it when gardening in my backyard, behind a fence and a tree so my neighbors don't see me wearing it. It's like wearing chaps, just make sure you're at least wearing underwear ok? Anyway, these are great because I end up kneeling to do something and most times forget to bring my kneepads so my pants always have dirt on them. Bonus points for being able to wipe my hands on the apron instead of my shirt. It seems pretty durable too, so I don't have to worry about being too rough with it. It would be cool if it had some padding in the knee part though.

While I'm sure I could adjust this enough to fit better, I find the leg parts stuff and uncomfortable to walk around in. The pockets are nice and big, however weighing them down only makes it more unconfirmed for me. This seems very useful, but if you can be easily bothered by things that feel restrictive, this won't be for you.

I never have enough pockets when I’m working in the yard, so I’m constantly going back and forth to the garage to get what I need. This apron allows me to add most of what I need and keep it handy. It also offers protection when working with thorny bushes and cleaning up yard debris. My clothes stay cleaner when I wear this apron. It’s more comfortable when worn with a collared shirt to protect your neck from skin irritation.
