If you have ever pruned azaleas or knock-out roses, you know what it's like to have a shrub spitefully attack your hands and arms. I used to wear one of my husband’s old dress shirts for protection from the sun, the bugs, and the vicious plants. The shirt was usually a hot mess by the end of the day, but these gardening sleeves are so much better, and they are cute, too. They didn't tear on spikey branches or thorns, and the bugs couldn't crawl up inside them to bite me. I love the thumb holes which keep the sleeves tucked into my gardening gloves and prevent the sleeves from sliding up and exposing my wrists to stabs, scratches, bites and burns. The sleeves go all the way up to the top of my arms. They are snug enough to stay up but are not uncomfortably tight. I plan to get more as gifts for my sister, daughter, and daughter-in-law.

Weirdly slippery feel to the fabric but they look nice with a black T shirt. I found these to be loose at the wrist but too tight at the bicep - but might be ok for someone who doesn't lift weights.

I live in Florida and love to yard work. This involves trimming bushes weekly and being out in the yard four or more days a week in the bright sun. These sleeves are lightweight and easy to put on. They are cool so wearing them is not uncomfortable. They are great for protecting my arms from the sun and from branches and thorns on my bushes. I was amazed the something so thin works so well. They are also very attractive which makes them fun to wear.

I use these over the summer for gardening and they were very useful. I did not have any insect bites through the fabric, and they stayed at my arms as well. They were not too tight and not too loose. I looked at other protective sleeves and they were quite pricey. These were very reasonable. Good quality material. Highly recommend.

I've used these while gardening & also while cutting brush & they keep my arms from getting scratched to pieces & also from sunburn!They are very well made & don't slip off the upper arm. Well, they don't off of mine as I have plenty of flesh for them to hang onto. The fabric actually does have a cooling feel to it, it's really nice on a hot day!Not to mention how cute they are!!If you're on the fence about getting some, just go for it. You won't regret getting them.Highly recommended!
