it's versatile in that I can plant flats or use dividers and the humidity can be controlled by spinning the wheel. it's not heavy plastic but it isn't cheap flimsy plastic, so I'm not worried about them collapsing when fully planted

I bought these because the 20 pack was a better unit price than many of the similar offerings. Since the ship time was longer, I also bought a listing for 10 from another vendor. These were not as high quality. The vents and drill holes in the lids are inconsistent. Some feel like you are forcing them while others feel like they will fall off. The cells themselves are thin and they are nested so tightly it was very difficult to get some to separate- almost like they had been stacked while warm and they cooled into each other. Overall they will work- perfect for a classroom or scout project, but I don’t have a lot of confidence they will hold up over multiple uses.- Added a star due to excellent customer service. The seller was incredibly outgoing above and beyond to make my experience with their product was positive. They honestly wanted to know more about my observations and seemed to care about making sure it wasn’t repeated with others. I would definitely buy these again.

This is two six-cell planting containers in a box with an humidity top and great for starting seeds indoors. The cell packs are a little flimsy and will warp if you leave them out alone in direct sun. They are fine in the container with the top on. Seeds grow very well and quickly. Needs little maintenance and has vents at the top to control humidity. The two pack is a great deal, as well. They are also reusable, which makes it an even better deal.

I bought these to start some plants for spring after I was blessed with so many seeds from the Indiana Backyard Gardener seed exchange. I wanted to start tomatoes, peppers and cucumbers mainly, but I threw in eggplants just because I had some seeds. I did not have bottom heat set up for round one. I had very good germination with the tomatoes and cucumbers, good germination with the peppers and excellent germination with the eggplants. Tragedy struck right after I potted up some seedlings and started to harden them off. I had foolishly left my mini greenhouses outside with no severe weather expected. A severe storm hit, blew over the seed shelves and blew away 2 mini greenhouses. BOTH greenhouses were eventually located UNDAMAGED! Unfortunately I did lose some seedlings.The trays are the small ones for those who want to transplant seedlings young, please understand these are not the cell size of the packs you see for retail sale. They are for seed starting. For someone just starting out with starting tomatoes from seed, I recommend these.
