I know it’s been asked and answered but, yes, this fits the Makita RT0701C/RT0700C like a glove. It does have a specific orientation, so if it’s not dead-on, just rotate 90° until it’s lined up. Factory Makita screws fit perfectly with a nice amount of recess.Beyond the price being right, and being one of the few direct-fit options for this router, the quality of the piece is surprisingly good. Nicely milled aluminum, anodization is smooth and flawless, surface is dead flat.When the router is mounted (upside down) with the power switch and speed dial facing the user, the Makita fixed-base dust collector accessory outputs to the user’s right side, just mentioning to potentially save you some time.Quality is a pleasant surprise all around and yes, it fits perfectly.

Finally a router plate that fits my Makita RT0701c router! Purchased to make my own router table but I wanted to avoid purchasing a new router. Worked perfectly! I saw this base on a YouTube video. The guy had it on a Makita trim router (same one I own) so I purchased one for myself. Fits the cordless or corded (same base) Makita trim router perfectly all the screws lined up no mods needed. I use this product just as a better base for my trim router and love it. It makes the router more stable and easier to use. As a professional carpenter, any product that makes my job easier is 5 stars for me!

If the holes were laid out on a square/rectangle then you would be able to attach it in 2 or 4 different orientations. Only one orientation actually works, meaning the layout (at least for the rt0701c) is NOT rectangular.
