5'9" 220lbs. size 38 to 40 in most pants/shorts. As per the size chart, I ordered the XLAs an older guy, I'm breaking all the unwritten social rules about us older, chunkier guys wearing revealing speedo type swimwear. It does take confidence knowing you are going to attract eyeballs. At my age, I don't care. I enjoy wearing this type of suit as opposed to longer, bulkier board shorts as it provides the best experience for me, both in and out of the water. It is so comfortable, you don't even feel like you are wearing a suit!Do I wish I had the body of the model in the photo? Sure. Do I wish I was taller, thinner, more hair on top and had a bigger unit? haha! Um,...yeah, but that's not going to happen. I can't control what other people think. What I can control is wearing what feels good, allows me to swim laps the easiest way possible and is super easy to care for. I swim at the local Y 3-4 times per week and I have noticed that I can swim longer, with less effort with this suit. That alone is a powerful incentive. At my age, I MUST exercise regularly, so getting the gear right helps so much.This suit has a nice liner in front, for modesty, but doesn't have a string to tighten the waist. They do slip down a bit when you first dive in, but not when pushing off the wall in flip-turns. The waist band is strong, but not death-grip tight. It is dense elastic which seems just right for the design. The material for the suit itself is stretchy, soft and not see-through.For me, the pouch is just right. I can comfortably point down, up or to the side. It covers the butt perfectly, leaving my crack covered, but just barely.This item is very well made and looks great! I really like these suits now and have bought 3 others. The maker has a fantastic line of mens suit designs in a fantastic variety of colors and patterns. I think these are fairly priced. Ok, these are super nice. Went on a cruise with my wife and family to the Caribbean and wear the typical board shorts. Wife thought these looked super sexy, son was a little weired out but anyway. On 2 of our excursion wore these to the beach and it was so liberating and comfortable. I mean really it was nice, I'm 5'9" 185#, athletic build and have a pretty good body, the large fit perfect. I also tried size medium and while the fit was Ok, the large was more comfortable. They appear to be of high quality with good stitching, definitely not see through. Unfortunately , not sure I am daring enough to wear to the local pool, not sure why as they look great on me but the social norm in America is not there yet. If your considering some swim attire other then the board shorts that hand to your knees , give these a try, the Turquoise and the Royal blue look great !

I love these blue trunks my fav of all that I own they are stringless . My waist size in Levi and Wrangler jeans is 36. I ordered XL . Im kind of athletic built 65 years old and in good shape I weigh 205 lbs and 6 ft tall These fit perfect and very sexy. large would have been to smallAlso ordered the black contour ones in XL. They have a string and fit alot tighter but I like them also but not as much as these blue ones . I wear them under my reg trunks and use them when I want to soak some rays and tan.

This is my second summer having this. Sadly the fabric fades and the shiny disappeared last summer. The elastic has held up well so far but the sticking is starting to unravel. Had I'd I had paid more I would be upset. Wife likes to see me in it so I guess I'll order another for the next 2 summers.

Always on the lookout for a good suit in the $20-$30 range. From the model pictures the style of these were awesome. I do read reviews but don't pay too much attention to them because its always a mixed bag. So anyone reading this keep that in mind. From my experience these suits a poor quality. Some of the worst stitching I've ever seen. As some reviewers have said, stitching was coming apart right out of the package. As soon as I tried it on it just got even worse. The sad part is the waist sizing was actually spot on. There was however too much material in the back. Speedo suits are supposed to be tight but there was far too much material in the back of these. Front side was great. Also, the material is pretty thin and extremely stretchy. Personally, this suit isn't worth even $10 let alone the just over $20 I paid. This all being said, buy a pair if you want but be prepared for possible disappointment.

For me, I would buy a Gary Majdell product over any others. The quality is just great. I don't machine dry them and they remain as new and do not shrink, at least over the two years I own them. In Florida they got lots of use and lots of washings too. In terms of color selection, no one touches them. Sizes are right on IF you follow their sizing guide. Therefore, at 6'4" and 210 lbs with a 34 waist, an XL is perfect.For some reason, I also find that Majdell's products do not cut at uncomfortable or unkind locations. I am pretty slim but still not rock hard because I cannot exercise due to bad back. So some other manufacturers are hit or miss as to whether the suit/underwear is going to cut across that mere touch of fat. Maybe it's just personal to my body but the quality of these products is just so good it's definitely worth a try.Finally, they package their products in a fine, professional manner. You never get a feeling that you are buying schlock. (Some other manufacturers are now properly packing their products too but I always know what to expect from Majdell.

Great fit (small and I wear 29/30 jeans), does not crush everything up front neither make it swing left and right... kept looking for speedo solar 1 inch to replace my old one. This is way better fitting, mind you for tanning, pool, sea, lake... I doubt it will hold up the chlorine if you go in pool 2 hours a day everyday... great quality and going to buy a few more as I am very satisfied with the fit. Good job Gary Majdell!

Good colour which looks nice in the water.A good fit - despite the lack of a draw string they keep in place, given all that has to be packed in!Front is not too prominent, but gives a shape and makes for comfort. The fact that they are slightly enhancing is a bonus.Arrived quickly, and overall all that was hoped for.
