Worked for me, and at a reasonable price. This is one of the 3 small-diameter coolant hoses on a Toyota 22RE engine (mine is a 1986). These are the pipes that run the coolant around various parts in/around the intake manifold and plenum chamber. They seem to be approx 7mm ID 15mm OD hoses. I replaced all three of these hoses when I fixed a leaking cylinder head gasket, rather than re-using the original 30-year-old hoses.All three small-diameter hoses, toyota part numbers: 16281-35010, Water pump pipe to auxiliary valve. 16267-35010, Auxiliary valve to throttle body. (Also Gates part number 18223) 16264-35012, Throttle body to manifold. (Also Gates part number 18222)(THIS ONE)Note: their product pic is taken at an angle that doesn't fully capture all the different bends in the hose. It also doesn't instantly look like an exact match for the old hose but it does fit, wrapping around the thermostat housing (see the 3rd pic I've included).This one connects the throttle body to the intake manifold. I used new 14mm spring clamps (standard parts rather than paying for genuine Toyota) to attach, also bought from amazon:

This is the hose that Toyota wants $40 plus which is highway robbery. This is a dinky hose.This Gates fits perfectly on a 1992 Toyota truck 22RE engine, and there is no trimming needed.You can save a lot of money purchasing all three Gates hoses that are up under the intake on a 22RE.Gates 18222, Gates 18223, Gates 18400, and you will have it covered.

This hose doesn't have anything to do with the heater. The main description is completely incorrect. This is a Throttle Body Cooling hose.It would be nice if they included the dimensions of the product. It's the same basic shape as the heater hose but it's really smallWaste of my time.For the life of me, I could not find the hose I needed using Amazon. I went to RockAuto then found it in about a minute because they display pertinent information in the list of products. The product details actually includes the dimensions of the product so I'm certain that it's the right part.Amazon had the hose listed in the results for my vehicle but it was impossible to find because there are so many products mislabeled as heater hose. It should be easy but they turned it into a needle in the haystack.

Fit's the same as oem but at a much smaller cost than toyota wanted, if you own a 22re, this is a huge savings over what the dealership wanted, I'm very happy.
