Our stock cap broke in two and we needed a replacement. This was much less expensive, arrived quick and has worked great since installation. We've had it on for about a year now with no issues at all. Definitely recommend.

Please just spend the $35 bucks for the original cap from VOLVO. This ended up overheating my car and now I have a blown head gasket. Not worth it.

We had problems with the coolant levels in the vehicle since the strange reservoir cap issue. You've probably noticed from your oil change crew comments that the coolant could not be topped up in your focus because they could not get the cap off. It seems the cap becomes "welded" into the opening of the reservoir fill area and when you do force it off it comes apart. It actually LOOKS like the welded in part is a "filter" or some such and part of the tank...but it is actually part of your cap that stayed behind. Ordering this replacement had me doubtful at first...as it would not just go back on without removing that part in the opening of the reservoir. I had to force that out (took some pliers and effort) and THEN I could see the same o-rings on that part as are on the bottom of this replacement part.So far so good...it seems to have solved the boil over issues I was having with coolant.
