As a working drummer I've used a SKB trap case for my drum hardware for many many years.I liked it, but I had to assemble and break down every single piece of drum hardware every night to fit it all in the SKB.After 10+ years of great service one of the wheels, and one of the latches fell off the SKB.I was looking to buy another hard case, but was shocked at the expense. $250+ for a hardware case really hurt.As I was searching around the interwebs I found this inexpensive bag on Amazon and figured I'd give it a try.I am really loving this thing. It's simple, but seems to be made well and is doing the job like a champ. I've done around 10 gigs with this thing so far and it still looks brand new.My setup and breakdown time at gigs has been significantly reduced because with the added height this bag has versus my old case, I can now keep some of my stands at playing height. This bag does not have wheels, but I have a small handtruck I never gig without, and this bag sits perfectly on the hand truck, and is even easier to wheel around them my old case was with it's built in wheels.Another really nice thing about the bag verses the hardcase is that at the gig when my kit is setup I can roll this bag to a very small size and throw it in my drum cases. The old hardware case was another big piece that would need to be hidden somewhere or loaded back into the trailer during the gig.The handles are heavy duty and comfortable to lift which is really important because as you can imagine when this thing is filled with drum hardware it is really really heavy. It also has a shoulder strap which is nice because it works great to get a good grip and balance when packing into my car. The shoulder strap gets in the way when packing and unpacking, but I discovered that it has a really nice easy to latch and unlatch mechanism. It's quick and simple to unlatch one side when packing and unpacking to get it out of the way.I was worried about the zipper giving out on me, and I am being careful with it, but due to the roominess of the bag I can fit all my hardware, plus a rolled drum rug, a towel, and a small stick bag in this thing, and still zipper it up easily without putting any stress on the zipper.I was very skeptical that such an inexpensive bag could do the job of an expensive hard case, but it really can.

This is a review of the Gator Cases Drum Set Hardware Carry Bag. I haven't hauled this bag to a hundred gigs, so please read this review with that in mind. It's a sturdy bag, but having such a long bag invites you to overstuff it. Don't do it - this bag seems to be built well, but it's not indestructible. I like that it fits a high hat stand without needing to break it down completely. Plus I can stick a throne in there without a problem. Make sure that the weight is distributed evenly, because it's an awkward shape to carry.

I have a large SKB hard case with casters that I lug around when I am using my heavy duty Yamaha 880 stands. 90% of my gigs don't require that so I bought some of Yam's ultralight Crosstown hardware and I can't endorse it enough...but this post is about the BAG.I didn't like that I couldn't use my double pedal with the ultralight HH stand and I don't like having to break all my stands down at the end of the night. This bag is plenty long enough to place 4 cymbal stands, 2 snare stands, HH stand and my Roc-n-Soc throne stand and there is still a ton of room. All the stands are left folded at height and not broken down.It is heavy (maybe 40#) but very manageable and easier to deal with than the hard case. The bag is made tough, good heavy zipper, shoulder strap and is padded inside like Gator drum cases. If you're a working drummer, consider investing in a similar setup. Your back will thank you!

Was looking for a case for my telescope and the Orion cases were a rip off. The dimensions of this case fit the telescope and I liked the fact that there was some padding. When I received it, it worked well, although the padding is a little thinner than I thought it would be. Material is good and seems like it will last a long time. Overall it is a quality product. Even though it's designed from drum kits its a nice and cheaper alternative for larger telescopes.

Originally got the shorter version of this bag, and although it was fine I had to collapse most of my stands for them to fit, which is a pain since I've got memory locks set where I want them on a lot of them. Thanks to Amazon the return process was easy and I got this bag instead, which is exactly the same except longer. Now all my stands fit (including my hihat stand) without having to do much at all, which is a big timesaver. I'll also say the bag seems very well constructed (zippers are pretty thick and nylon exterior is also pretty thick and tough), and I expect it will hold up well as long as it's not abused or ridiculously overpacked. The padding is a little on the thin side, but hey, it's carrying hardware so who really cares? If I was on tour buses or other people were handling my gear I'd probably opt for something a little more substantial, but for my needs it's more than fine.Everything else I looked at was either substantially more expensive or looked more flimsy for the price, and this bag was the perfect compromise between quality, function, and price. I'd buy it again (hope I won't have to though) and plan on picking up some Gator drum cases as well in the near future.

This bag is great for drum hardware that is bulky and long. This is what I bought it for. This drum bag is way oversized and has plenty of room left over as I put my entire drum rack and associated hardware and other stands in it, with lots of room left over. The bag is very well made and durable, except for the fact that the strap broke on it's maiden voyage. The handles for the bag are more durable than the shoulder strap. If the bag is overloaded, it will feel very heavy as if the load is not carried evenly. I would highly recommend this purchase if you need a workall-fit all bag for hardware. This bag would also work for microphone stands as well.

Recomendado.
