Like most people, we have a ton of wires and electronic devices throughout our house that needs to be plugged in and the average two wall outlets is never enough to fulfill our growing needs, especially in the smart home era. We normally purchase the Amazon Basics power strips, but found these GE ones for slightly cheaper and decided to pick them up. They came fully functioning and in packs of two. The power strips do not provide any special functions like emergency shut offs or power saving features, but what most important in all power strips is that it is grounded in case of electrical discharge.Our rating scaleDesign: 5/5Utility: 5/5Effectiveness: 5/5Noticeable flaws: We can't find any noticeable flaws other than the fact that this strip is not a surge protector nor the light switch lights up when it turns on like other strips (which can make it difficult to figure out whether the strip is on or not unless you turn it on). Other than that, this strip does what it was built for.Our answers to the frequently asked questions:How many Joules is this?This power strip is not a surge protector and does not provide a maximum voltage to protect your electronics. These are commodities necessitated by the surge of electronic "toys" that require recharging or a constant minimal power consumption (never have a sum of power consuming items turned on in excess of the rated power bar or the circuit into to which it is plugged). That being said, every room seems to need more outlets. Power cords provide an economic solution (being aware of load limits). So, if we keep 2 on the floor, now we also have 2 in the drawer. Good product: good price.

I searched and I could not find a better deal than the two GE power strips. Now these are not surge protectors. But they do have circuit breakers in them, which is a decent safety device, especially if you’re in an area where there’s minimal lightning. The reason I like these best is they have no power on indicator light or ground notification light. I went through my house and started counting all the LED lights that are burning, and it was an unbelievable amount. You may not think it’s much but when you turn off dozens of those, you’re saving quite a bit of electricity over a years time. That’s what I like best about these power strips, “There not burning electricity 24 hours a day!†I have had no issues with mine and I have dozens.

I like the switch, so you can just switch the power on or off, etc.However, the cord is very short.

No tiene nada de funcion de proteccion, Tal y como lo dice el paquete.Pero la publicacion dice que si lo tiene. Me pregunto si GE sabe que su logo se usa de esta manera, aver si responden en twitter x.
