This hold my CB mic up where I need it in my Jeep. I keep the radio in my console out of site & hook this up when I need to. Very strong & great looking chrome finish! I love this thing. Buy it, not the lower priced one for keys!!! This is heavy duty!

The button on the back of my past two microphones kept shearing of due to the rough roads in Massachusetts (local truck driver) so I bought this chrome gear keeper. Hopefully the gear keeper last longer than the mic button does.

The photos made the chrome one appear to be metal instead of plastic like the black one. The photos show some differences between the black and chrome that lead me to believe the extra few dollars was for a more durable version. The chrome plastic was a disappointment as I would have preferred the color to be black and saved the extra money I thought I was spending on a metal casing.
