The double stacked pawl design gives 120 positions providing a 3 degree ratcheting arc. All of the ratchets feature a low profile head and flush mounted on/off switch, allowing better access in tight spaces. The ratchets are a bright, full polish chrome to resist rust & corrosion and have an enclosed head design which allows for extreme resistance to dirt infiltration. As a professional auto technician . Use mostly on stuck brake Rotor and CV shaft disconnecting and reconnecting.Don’t damage the spline .Use as a non sparking hammer . Pretty handy . Recommend for every tech needs this hammer in their toolbox.

The label on the bag stated it did contain lead. I suspect all the brass tools out there contain some level of lead... don't know. I guess they have to add a little lead to make it softer then steel you're banging on. Still though, seems very well made and I suspect it's safe as long as you're aware that is contains lead and don't do anything with it that might expose you to the lead it contains (i.e. - grind it, burn it.....etc). Yes, I recommend this tool.

They shipped me a little tiny hammer, very well made, labeled as 2#. The head is 8oz and the total weight is 10oz. This IS NOT a 2# hammer and certainly NOT worth $40!

the handle feels very good in the hand and the brass is holding up well after many hours of use.
