I ordered these check valves for my ranch for the well system as backup for the best possible time for things breaking ( mostly 9:30 pm on a Sunday night) I have used one already it looks well made and working great now I would recommend this valve

installed the first one on new plumbing for a water softener. turned the water on and it leaked at the seam. it was a small leak and i was using wet/dry pvc glue, so i put some glue on the seam, hoping it would seal it. worked for a day, then it started leaking on the other side where i didn't place the glue. put some glue on that side, and it held for a few days. i took the first one off and replaced it with the second one that was in the bag. it leaked worst than the first one. i am only running 65psi water pressure. if you want headaches and enjoy pulling your hair out from the plumbing leaks, by all means, buy these.

Installed many of these on lawn irrigation systems. Never had an issue. Works great. Normal plumbing procedures to install. (For some, follow the arrow on it).

This is a nice backflow valve, however the website description is wrong. When working with PCV fittings we use ID, not OD - so a 3/4 inch valve is for 1/2 line and a 1" valve is for a 3/4 inch line. As I may find use for the smaller one someday, I am not going to return it, but I did have to order a 1" unit to fit my 3/4 inch line. The seller needs to update this information or could be getting lots of returns.

The structure is compact and easy to use. I use it in the garden spray system, which can effectively prevent the water in the water pipe from flowing back.
