How Does Ignition Coil Work?
- Ignites the fuel with a timed spark
- Ignition coils may work as a single independent component igniting all engine cylinders, as individual coils assigned one-per-cylinder or in packs serving multiple cylinders
- An ignition coil takes nominal voltage from the battery (typically 12V) and steps it up to fire the spark plugs to as high as 60,000V

2014 Chevy Cruze. Installed in 5 minutes and immediately stopped the leeching and jerking caused by a misfire. I had changed the spark plugs a couple months earlier and it helped, but the car jerked at stop lights.

Installed these 3 months ago ran fine till today ...check engine light on again exact same code #3 coil defective this time last time was #2...lasted a whole 21/2 months!! Garbage!

So far this product works great. Perfect fit. Easy replacement. Solved "cylinder 3 misfire" issue. Bought it to replace an AutoZone Duralast coil that lasted 18 months and cost 3 times more. I'll keep you posted.

This was bought to solve a misfire, took 3 minutes to swap in, and the car instantly ran like new again. Cant speak to how long it will last but the Cruze is rolling again, and the price was great. Will most likely grab another just to have in the trunk. Gen 1 Cruze is notorious for chewing through these things.
