Not a complaint about the product but for my car, it was 5 inches shorter than original and made it difficult to connect to gauge cluster. There is another that is 5 inches longer that is also GM certified and matched to “fit my vehicle†that would have been better so the cable would not have the tight radius going into firewall. I did not chose the best fitted one. Not sure how to know which one you need but do some research on your particular vehicle. Great product otherwise and speedometer is very smooth and is now accurate.

Oddly my 89 Camaro IROC-Z had a two piece cable that is normally found on earlier with non-electronic Cruise Control. But somewhere someone must have used an improper lube because the speedometer needle would bounce... and badly in the cold winter months. This causes problems by sending an erratic signal to the ECM.For the money, this was the perfect fix. Way worth it over having to remove the old cable just to try to thoroughly clean the thick garbage from the old housing to free up the cable.Worked well and was a perfect fitting replacement.If you get to the transmission end and are worried about the 90 degree bend in the original cable. That is just an aluminum half sleeve bend around a cable. I removed mine and installed it onto the cable. But really is not needed.

I learned the hard way and tried using a cheap Orient cable first only to have to install a GM quality product the second time, and it wasn't that much less expensive...It was the correct length which made the job much easier, also works as it should.... Make sure you lubricate the cable before installing...

Fonctionne bien pour le moment sur une camaro iroc tpi auto de 1987. La longueur correspond à mon ancien double cable. Garder l'ancien joint qui va entre le compartiment moteur et l'habitacle, car pas présent sur ce cable. Un chouille plus petit en diamètre que l'ancien, mais ça ne change pas grand chose. L'aiguille du compteur est fluide, pas de saut ni tremblement, pourvu que ça dure ! Nikel donc !
