Works as advertised and easy to install. My only complaint is that the warning labels are not stickers. They are printed on the instruction sheet for you to cut out and tape on the panel. But it wouldn’t deter me from buying this product again.

This was simple to install and serves the interlock purpose. I did have to grind away some of the metal to make it easier to use with less binding in the panel. A lot cheaper than a whole house transfer switch and just as effective.

I have always been a fan of the transfer switch, but the switch itself is a generous investment. You are also limited with the number of circuits that you can run on a transfer switch. Thankfully, I had the essentials with the transfer switch, but I lacked flexibility or expansion. What I like about the interlock kit compared to a transfer switch is that you can run anything you want as long as the generator can handle it. The interlock provides safety for the house as well as for the utility workers.Installation was easy, and I didn't have to hire an electrician, although I don't recommend that if you are not comfortable working with electricity. The one thing that I don't like now is that I have no way of knowing when the power is restored. With the transfer switch, I could always tell when the power was restored when the "other" appliances would come on that weren't powered by the transfer switch. With the interlock, I'll have to keep an eye on my neighborhood or come up with another solution.Overall, this is much better for flexibility and for the wallet. I highly recommend it.

Good product but the screws are just a tad short, about 1/16". I'm going to look for some screws to use that will make it work correctly, otherwise, it is a good idea and product. If I can't find screws that will work, I think putting some red loctite on the threads may be enough to secure it safely. There were some lock washers included with the kit, they only made it worse.

If you are using a generator and putting a circuit in your panel to accommodate plugging in an outdoor unit, this is a must! Works just as stated. Just remember, you have to put the circuit for the generator and the right spot in your power box close enough to the main Switch

I believe that instruction images are wrong. If the back plate/template is positioned as shown (flush with the center opening of the breaker), it would be impossible to turn the main breaker ON or even block the OFF position for generator. From what I see, it should be flush with the adjacent opening (see the photo).Check before drilling.Otherwise good product, decent price and excellent service

Très bonne qualité sauf que les boulons ne sont pas assez long.Les boulons ne sont pas assez résistant au serrage. Il faut donc faire très attention pour ne pas serrer trop fort car le filage de brise facilement.IMPORTANT à savoir. Les boulons ne sont pas assez long pour faire le serrage avec les barrures de boulons. (lock nuts). J'ai dû compresser les barrures (look nuts) dans un étaux car elles sont trop épaisses pour pouvoir visser adéquatement les petits boulons.
