Someone in my marching band highly recommended a similar harness to this one, and I absolutely love it! This particular one is a bit on the less-sturdy side, so probably don't use it with heavier instruments. I use this harness for my tenor saxophone and it seems to maybe not be quite durable enough to hold it, but it works for my purposes. It is SIGNIFICANTLY more comfortable than a regular neck strap or even than other types of harnesses. If you are looking for a comfortable way to march with your sax, this is the one!

Now my go to strap for sax. Had neck surgery, relieves all stress on neck and back, wish it would stay closed more when using it, but still recommend again

The two neck supports squeeze into place using a clever plastic piece. However, just setting these into place during my first use of this product caused one to snap, no doubt due to some fault in the plastic. I’m sure quality control for this product is not always so terrible, so I’m contacting the seller to see about a replacement. Nonetheless, this was a major disappointment.Update: I ordered a replacement at no charge thanks to amazon, however, the locking mechanism for the two arms was too loose on the replacement from the very beginning, causing the strap to move around and need constant readjustment. Clearly there is very poor quality control on this product. After wasting two weeks trying two of these, I'm going to be ordering a better quality neckstrap from a competing brand immediately.

This generic sax shoulder harness is worth about what you pay for it. It's a copy of the JazzLab Saxophone Harness ( difference, other than its durability (which I don't know about), is that the original JazzLab's shoulder arms can be bent to fit you perfectly. They are also removable, which the ones on this generic copy are not. This unit is described as being made of aluminum inside, which may be why it cannot be bent to fit (at least not with your bare hands).

If I had this product many years ago, I would have practiced a lot longer and been a better sax player over the years. Neck straps hurt my neck after just a few minutes of playing time, especially with the weight of a tenor sax.

I adapted this for use with a bassoon using 3mm parachute cord. The first time I used it, the plastic hinge on one of the shoulder harnesses sheared off. The position of the shoulder arrangement to the throat is very uncomfortable until some weight is applied to the harness.
