I looked at shears at local stores and they were all big, heavy and expensive. I wanted a smaller/lighter weight version and found it with these Genesis shears. They work just fine for cutting metal roofing. I use them anytime I am cutting metal/tin for craft projects too. You can cut straight lines and around curves. I used them to cut out metal blades for wind spinners and found that I could cut straight lines quickly and then use my hand snips/shears to cut around tight curves. The price is very good for these compared to name brands and they work just as good.

I was a bit skeptical when it said that it would cut up to 20 gauge of stainless steel. I thought it would get bogged down. I was pleasantly surprised. I cut about 15' of 20 gauge stainless steel with no problem at all. I also used it for cutting .100" thick diamond plate aluminum. That's almost 10 gauge! I cut the diamond plate from the back side which makes it easier...but it did struggle every so often as it would get hung up on the raised tread pattern.... I'm happy with that since they never claimed it would cut that thick to begin with. Overall great value for the money.

Works good ,got it to cut pool siding sheet metal. Works well. You do have to be mindfully of holding it at the proper angle. It will cut great.

Bought this as a cheaper alternative than big name brand cutters to use on ribbed steel panels. I was blown away by how easy it made cutting the steel. The ridges of the steel were difficult to cut but if I maneuvered the steel it worked just fine - a whole lot easier than using sheers and a huge time saver! I would definitely recommend this product!

I had just one cut to make with this and it worked great. The cut was 36 feet long though and would have been terrible with hand shears. I won't use this a lot but when I need it I have it! And it's inexpensive!

We purchased this item in June for a project we wanted to start today 8/4. We now know why it was such a good deal. It appeared practically new but was clearly returned broken and not checked before being resold to us. I’m very disappointed. â˜¹ï¸ I would like to return it and get a replacement.

Llevo unos dÃas usándola y en general muy bueno. Cortes limpios en lamina negra cal 26, 22, 20 como papel.Lo mejor que puedes graduar la velocidad del corte. si apenas tocas el gatillo (recordemos que es estilo taladro) empieza a trabajar por lo cual te da la ventaja de irte lo mas recto posible. Cosa que no podÃa con la cizalla "TruePower 01-0101 18 Gauge Heavy Duty Electric Sheet Metal Shear Tin Snips Cutter Nibbler" tambien comprada en amazon esta ultima deja maltratado el sobrante.

For straight cut its perfect but if you have ripples it wont work as good. Still. Good tool to have around
