The product was east tp install, worked great if I had any thing to say that I would have liked…a mount hole template.

The brake works well. I would recommend buying the removal tool. Once the old brake is removed I had issues trying to pull the existing cable wire to refit back into the new brakes retaining hook, extremely hard, vise grips or the tool may help. I would recommend watching the youtube video on installation instructions for 2001 S10.

Could it be easier to install? Not with this design, but a tip: you can use a small hose clamp to compress the parking brake cable to remove the cable from the assembly.After installing, I found that I have to pull the pedal up with my foot to turn the brake light off. Yes, it works, but it's annoying to have to install the assembly to find that quality control was lacking. Every time I use the parking brake, I'll be reminded of the exercise of installing it and the poor workmanship of the product.

New out of box. No issues at all... Easy install. Would be 5 stars if it had some kind of galvanizing or powder coating.
