I needed something that was heavy duty for simple peace of mind. I am not currently towing anything super heavy but I did want something that I could use in the future should I decide to go with something much larger. I have a 6" lift and this hitch seems to be the perfect drop at 12" for what I am towing. If I do decide to tow something larger I will definitely invest in the stabilizer bars that GEN-Y sells, again for peace of mind. This thing is made very well with a great finish. It is a beast at over 60 lbs but again I am not taking any chances with what I'm going to tow and for that matter the lives of others on the road with me. One thing that I would definitely suggest is Infinite Security lock set #61613 | 3 Pack Mix, Keyed Alike, Hitch Locks (Fits: 2" & 2-1/2" Receiver | Gen-Y Hitch). Again well worth the dollars and you get what you pay for.

What can I say, I fell in love with this hitch the first time I attempted to pick it up when it was delivered to my front porch. I bent down to grab the box, but nearly broke my back while trying to come back up. This hitch has got to weigh at least 75-80 lbs I'm guessing.Things I like (top 3):1. Made in USA2. Constructed of heavy duty alloy3. It fits snug into my 2.5 in receiver. Many hitches on market today are loose and wiggle inside the receiver housing, thus getting that popping and snapping noise every time you go over a hump in the road.If a quality hitch is what you desire, the GEN-Y hitch is awesome. I firmly believe in the saying "You get what you pay for". This hitch is just intimidating to all other hitches around it... enuff said!

I bought this because my trailer wasn't level and wanted something solid that didn't rattle. I was happy when I hooked my trailer up because I realized the trailer sits far enough back now that I can open up the tailgate! The only disappointment was I planned on using my 1 7/8" ball that I already had with it, but the pin is larger than the normal size. No biggy though they GenY sells a 17/8" attachment for like twenty bucks.

Product looks great.Mouted the hitch at night, when i looked at it in the morning realized it looks powder coated grey!every picture on the site looked black so, what am I missing here?Did I get the wrong color by mistake?My truck its all black, that's why I thought I was ordering a black hitch.Anyone from Gen-Y please, thank you!!!SOLID HITCH LOVE IT
