Ok I have more than 14 of the 3 foot geobins set up around my property. I get a ton of leaves in the fall, so I need a place to hold them because I love to create leaf mold. I simply rake, pick them up with a Bosmere or Ames leaf picker into collapsible bins, haul and pour them into geobins.Before the next fall, all the bins should already be emptied. But where do I tranfer the partially rotted leaves. I used to just dump them to a big pile and leave them there another year or more. Nothing wrong with that except for the looks. Also, partially rotted leaves get heavy. So I move them in 5 gallon pails at a time then pour the contents out.With these 2 foot high geobins, I can keep the rotting leaves in an orderly fashion till they become real usuable leaf mold, without too much strain on my back. Its easier to pour a heavy bucket into 2 feet rather than 3 feet.
