I recently upgraded my dining table by installing an upward-facing power outlet, making it much easier to charge devices or even enjoy hotpot meals right at the table. Naturally, safety was my top priority—especially since a table outlet is more prone to spills, which could pose a risk of electric shock. To address this, I created a new power cord equipped with a GFCI (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter) using this replacement plug.The plug features two buttons—TEST and RESET—along with an LED indicator that shows whether the plug is powered or tripped. The installation process was straightforward: I cut an old power cord, ran the wires through the plug, and connected them to the screw terminals as outlined in the instructions. The only downside is that the plug is fairly large, which could be an issue if you're working with tight spaces, such as a high backsplash. My plug got smashed somehow in one of my bags, and the idea of spending over $100 on a new flat iron that is still fully functional just seemed super wasteful. I hit up the company and they didn’t have any sort of replacement plugs or repair service. The best they could do was offer me a discount, but it just felt wasteful, and an unnecessary expense. Especially when this straightener has lasted me over a decade now, and would have continued to, had the plug not been crushed.So I turned to the internet. I ordered this product and it was exactly what I needed. I’m so stoked cause it’s saving me so much money and it’s super easy to use.Pro tip, the wires are always color coded. No need to worry about prying the old one open, unless you just want to see the inside (which is kind of cool tbh)Second thing is, because my cord was a bit thinner in diameter, I decided to make a knot with it inside (shown in picture one) and that did the trick of keeping it from pulling directly on the wires and chancing them getting broken or undone.Third, keep a small flathead on deck. The depth of these screw slots are a bit weird but a flathead worked pretty well to do the final tensions.Overall, highly recommend! It’s easy and works (I will update this review if this changes as I haven’t properly used it yet, but the light went on and it started to heat. No smoking sockets here! Haha)

My wife's fancy hairdryer stopped working. Rather than replace it, I found the cause to be the GFI plug. This plug was very easy to install, and preferable to placing a non-GFI plug since in is used in the bathroom. The only downside is it's large size that is almost twice as large as the original. It has worked flawlessly. I took off one star for the size.

My dog chewed up the cord for the outdoor fan. It was difficult to find a replacement plug with the right amperage. The quality is great so far. Everything works as it should. It was easy to install. If there were a con, it would be that the housing of the plug is slightly too large to fit easily on my outdoor outlet that has the hinge cover. Other than that though, it works just as I expect it too.

My pool filter quit working because the GCFI plug wouldn't reset. I found this- it took me only a couple minutes to swap it out for the original with no tools but a screwdriver & no electrical training. My pool filter is running again, good as new.

This gfci, attached to pressure washer failed on the first use. I cannot make it come back on, even after disconnecting from pressure washer. Would not recommend this product. Having difficulty making manufacture live up to 5-year warranty.

Exactly as described, easy to install. As it turned out I didn't need it because that was not my problem so I returned it & got a prompted refund. Great company to deal with & a solid built product.
