My advice for size is this: These come in sizes of differing 5 inches. Whatever your size is, round up to the next size, unless your size is exactly as stated. Meaning, I am a size 33", so I thought Medium would fit (30-35"), but actually, it's quite tight, and is much more sized at 30", than 35". The material is very stretchy, so toughing it out for two hours or so for a soccer match is all right, but that's because you are full of testosterone and adrenaline, so you wouldn't mind during the match, but it will become uncomfortable as you calm down.The material is tough, there are patches of extra padding, and the two hips have that huge array of protection. I feel it should come with padding for the posterior/tailbone as well, and so that's why I took away a star. Also, at $80, this sounds like professional wear territory?

Absolutely loving everything we've gotten from this brand. Very high quality and durable stuff! Great protection and padding. Sizing is overall as expected but if you're on the fence with what size to choose, definitely size up. Highly recommend

Look, these are good. I ordered a paid of these for my daughter who stands at about 5' 1" -the Small in this fits her fine. She plays goalie and likes the additional padding... BUT she also plays baseball and she and I both agree that the padding in these shorts are not significantly more effective than her baseball sliding shorts. Here's where the pricing comes in -if you search up "baseball sliding shorts" you will get numerous results, most sub $20 and these goalie shorts at the time I'm reviewing them price out at $80. There is no way that I'd buy these for that price point. They are great and a five star rating at $20, but these are currently way too expensive and you can get comparable protection for a quarter of the price

I have owned several G-Form protective pieces, and they have all been good quality. These impact shorts are no exception. They are simple but effective. I have found that most of G-Form's form fitting gear runs a tad small, so if in doubt, sizing up is not a bad idea. The fabric is moisture wicking and breathable which is a must. The hip pads really help disperse impact force to minimize the blow. Overall, I've been very happy with the performance of these impact gear.

I ordered these with my fingers crossed that the unique hip padding wasn't going to be too big, too bulky, or too stiff. And I was quite excited that they are slim, lightweight, and nicely protective. The sizing is correct and the waistband is snug enough to keep the shorts in place during competitive play and repetitive dives and slides.

got these for my son who is goalie for his soccer team. he complained of how much it hurt to hit the ground if he was going after the ball, so i hoped that this would alleviate some of that discomfort by adding some padding to his gear. They are a little tight on him, but he wore them for one game and said that they were ok.

Having played soccer all my life, often as a keeper, layers of protection are important, not just against incoming bullets, but against nature itself (the ground). As keeper, leaps of faith are often taken, sacrificing ones body to block a shot, and these padded shorts provide ample protection against impact shock. Do you still feel it, sure, but the amount of shock absorption is amazing in these, saving my hips from unnecessary extra bruising and pain. They fit true to size...if only there was a little padding in the front section.
