My kid is on the small side of 3T/4T and ordered the large size on this and fit pretty well. The tight stretchy fabric accommodates smaller kiddos pretty good so I'd probably size up. The padding is not hard plastic so it will not promote sliding like other kid pads. This is more like abrasion protection.One thing I'm not a huge fan of is that the long side of the sleeves are oriented toward the body so you really have to slide them up the limb. Then it's more of a hassle to remove, especially if these are running a bit tight on your kid. It's not all that user friendly and quick. So the kiddo will have to have some patience before heading out on their bike/scooter/etc.But this is a trusted brand and your kids only get one set of limbs. I've never regretted spending money on safety gear, and certainly would not regret this purchase. Overall, this works well, and aside from moderate difficulty in putting it on, these are high quality and so gets 5 stars.

These pads are well made and fit on like a sock. Coverage for both knees and elbows is good. They are super tight though. Very difficult to get on and off a 4yr old. So difficult that we don't use them. For reference she is 38 pounds and wears a size 4 (she just turned 4 when we bought these). Also, I think these are expensive.

For toddlers who usually do not move at high speeds, this set gets the job done. They are held in place and do not slip easily because of the long elastic bands. These are long enough to hold the curved pads in place. They are not narrow 1 inch elastic bands you find on pads for older kids. This is like a sock that covers the a lot of the top of your toddler's knee and some of the bottom of the knee. The only worry is whether it will twist and turn and face the rear instead of keep facing the front as it should. In my initial experience, this has not happened.

These are great knee/elbow guards for your little ripper. Much better impact protection than the classic hard plastic turtle shell guards. As others have noted, the sizing runs small. The L/XL was just about perfect for my 3 year old. She is around the 55th percentile in weight and 85th+ percentile in height, 3T shirts and 4T pants. I suspect these will fit her for about the next year, but not much beyond that. Great protection overall, but these pads are very specific to the toddler age range.

I got this for my 3yo and should have sized up to the L/XLSUMMARYI personally wear G-Form adult gear for all my action sports (skateboarding/MTB). With my toddler starting to learn how to ride a scooter and balance bike, these G-Form kid pads have been great extra protection.
